It would be cool to have loads of old Cassette Tapes, VHS Tapes & stuff in old boxes though! I've been thinking of starting a collection of it several times. But i'm busy enough collecting CD's, DVD's and Vinyls!

Problem with cassettes is you stick one on twenty years later and the sound drops out on one channel for sections not to mention loss in sound quality. mind you they didn't sound very good even when new.

Shouldn't be too difficult for you Mike, with all the moose running around up there and all?

Those damned things roam the streets like it belongs to them! Countless car crashes could be averted if every driver were allowed a hunting rifle in their front seat.

Hey scott, since you seem to have a pretty meaty collection, how about posting a picture of it here?

I have some boxes of copied VHS pornos on VHS that I'd just about be willing to ship to anyone of age and pay the shipping costs for. I "inherited" them from my brother in law. My own personal collection of VHS stuff, mostly taped off TV, but some store bought originals is disintegrating. I can no longer play my cassettes on any device capable of recovering the material to CD. I can't play my LP's on any set up I have anymore. Granted, they are the most durable of the formats...

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I'll see what I can do. It'll probably take about 5 or 6 pictures since they are in so many different locations throughout my house.

I'll have to count my vinyls too. I belonged to the BMG Record club and Columbia House for quite a while where I was buying records before I switched to cassettes and finally to CDs. I probably have around 100, but very few are prog. Most of my vinyls were from my headbanging days.

I have some headbangers, some classic rock but a lot of prog. Nothing wrong with non-prog though! Especially nothing wrong with headbanging

Cassettes can be really cheap (£0,01 to £3) on Amazon. The problem is that the shipping is ridiculously high!

never cared for cassettes. I think I played my "Hemispheres" cassette once in my old car before I gave it a cd-player, that's about it
