Likewise, Scott. I'm taking my daughter out tonight. Never really cared for Halloween as a kid, but get a big charge out of seeing my kid get all excited about it.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Recently purchased:

Listening to the s/t for the second time, it's just GREAT! Pittily the other 7 songs are quite straightforward metal songs. Though the album is quite worthy for the 'epic', it would have been better if it had been consistent.
Soon to buy Images & Words or/and Awake.

Glad you like it Chaco (yes, I meant to say Chacho Wink). If you don't mind the heavy parts of this one then i recommend you head for Awake. Your thoughts on the album seem to mirror mine, though. Go for "A Change Of Seasons". It's only an Ep, but there's a great 23-minute long track on it.

I'm revisiting:

I've never seen EP's around here, though I must look well. Though I have 2(or maybe 3) options: Images & Words or Awake OR how about Systematic Chaos? I'm curious at it becuase it's follow-up to Octavarium, so it might follow somehow the same sound, ideas, etc.

Systematic Chaos is nothing at all like Octavarium. It's heavy and very "brutal" and by that I mean very Metalish. Go onto YouTube and look up "Constant Motion" and you'll know what I mean. The album does contain the highly melodic "Ministry Of Lost Souls" which is (IM-freaking-O) the best thing the band ever did, but I think you may find the album too heavy for your taste

That's what I needed! Option 3 crossed-out Then it's Awake or Images or ...? Scenes? Six Degrees?
Have in mind I do not enjoy the songs from Octavarium(exception s/t). In few days or minutes I may like one of those 7, but not sure if I'll love em' as the s/t song.

I still stand hard by Six Degrees, although it's the most experimental and the first disc is only okay. I think that the title track would really appeal to you. Scenes is a very good one, but I've never thought of it as their best. Awake has always been the masterpiece in my opinion, but I&W seems to be what most people go for.

Maybe because Images is the REAL masterpiece, and not Awake
