You are still under shock, Scott???LOL

I'm still in the growing stages with VDGG.  I haven't really taken to well to them yet, but I think that if I work at it they will grow on me.  I'm sure it will happen in due time or possibly REAL TIME. Wink

I caught onto them immediately.  I first heard the song Killer on the Supernatural Fairytales Box back in 96, then got a few of their albums soon after and was hooked.

Just finished the live, dirtier version of The Jack, now on Up to My Neck in You.  Next up - Kicked in the Teeth and Shot Down in Flames.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

BC in the fall is anything but beautiful . A day without rain or overcast or fog is highly unlikely. The name should be "Beautiful BC if you're only here in August and July". That would make a crappy slogan, but it would be more true at least

That was the first time that I had heard them too.  It wasn't until much later that I came across The Pleasure Dome / The Quiet Zone, which really didn't do anything for me.  Coming to PA is what finally piqued my interest into looking at them further since they are held in such high regards by many here.  I bought H to He and Pawn Hearts, and of course the first time I played H to He, I heard Killers, and I knew that I had heard that song before, but I didn't quite know where, until I looked at the Supernatural Fairy Tales and saw that it was on there.  I bought Aerosol Grey Machine a couple of months ago and I enjoyed that on first listen.  I also bought the Real Time live album and I enjoyed that too.  I haven't heard Godbluff or Still Life yet. My new "friend" Matthew Parmenter (haha) suggested that I definitely have to hear these two albums, so they are now on "The list".

Yeah, you have to hear Godbluff and Still Life, their two best IMO.  Your plant has good taste in music it seems.  Wink

As for me, my opinions will differ greatly!!LOL
If you like your music with no harmonies and melodies with ''deranged'' vocals, that's for you!!

Don't get me wrong, i like early VDGG fromAerosol to Pawn hearts....H to He is even a 5 star album imo, t the music could be beautiful l  flowing nicely and Hammill was still singing properly.

But after that, the sound became RAW,and the vocals........Shocked!! As you can read i wrote ''vocals'' not ''singing''LOL ...but everything is a matter of taste. Still Life has still a few good songs though.
