Meh. It's probably 1) outside of my current price range and 2) more than I'd bother to spend to get a good quality bass. |

Or:
![]() Resonator BassThe Johnson resonator bass guitar has a big, punchy sound you can't find on any other acoustic bass. The 10 1/2" resonator is like having a built in speaker. This versatile bass is available with an optional pickup system for plugging into an amp or PA system.

It seems I was wrong. I could definitely afford both of these, but I don't need a new bass yet anyway. The one I have works just fine for me. Personally I've never understood why someone would spend any more than $2,000 for a guitar. Edited by birdwithteeth11 - October 30 2008 at 21:28 |

I think that blue thing is just a small bodied bass.

2000 (well if I lived in the US anyway), is about the upper limit for a stock instrument I would pay for. 3500 is a good price for a custom made instrument in the US, and I wouldn't recommend spending more than that anyway. |

I prefer newer styled instruments anyway.
I prefer comfort over 'vintage' looks. |

Harry wouldn't be seen dead with a Gibson Les Paul, Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster.
He'd rather sleep with Ingvay than even touch one. |

I've posted pics of my guitar on PA anyway.
It's in Tech Talk. It has the body shape of a strat, but more curvy, and better finish than most strats IMO, so fortunately I didn't have to compromise on the looks of the guitar to get something more comfortable. |
