ok, I've had a trerrible morning, and am looking to the Shedders for sympathy as I'm home alone!

I went to the post as usual, I had to go 5 miles east to get fuel, return home, pick up the post, then 5 miles west to the PO, lovely sunny day so I was enjoying the pootle on the scooter.

I stopped off at a place (and I'm holding Fandango responsible for this bitWink ) where I know they sell Tyrells Beetroot Crisps, then continued my lovely sunny ride home. Turning right into a T junction I was clipped on the wing by "White Van Man" I lost balance, and toppled to my left, Bertie (the Scooter) managed to stay (albeit on his side) on the road, I ended up in a DITCH, a smelly, dark, dank, deep ditch! I hauled my self out, righted Bertie and got myself home....... Stripped in the drive, thew my clothes in the washer, and showered to within an inch of my life, I STILL smell of ditch. Dead

But I've got a bag of Beetroot Crisps for lunch!  Had I not been buying the darned things I wouldn't be smelling like ditch water though Unhappy 

But the good news is....................... it's raining in Rome today, so at least I have sun on my side! Tongue

Seriously, glad to hear you're okay Rach. Unfortunately you've discovered the reason why I don't ride a motorbike  or cycle to work. I know too many people who have been injured on bikes.

...but at least you landed somewhere soft - i had one or two encounters with cars / vans in my biking days (very short episode, as i found a car -even a humble Moggie- was the better wooing and winning accessory than the ol' 2 wheeler, and i didn't get drunken skinheads verbally assaulting me at traffic lights any more - there.....i was a fraud, real bikers ignored traffic lights a la Ace Cafe) and still proudly bear the scarred knees to prove it, and the odd mashed bone in foot ...did your crisps get crushed? Ermm
pleased your back on Pendagon       Pendle    Pendragon duties - btw is their new album really good..? Embarrassed

i just listened to the track on their website and answered my own question - very nice indeed, i may even become a Pendie one day Big%20smile

...it's a genuine house, not sure whether it's got a shed or not ...it's the famous (well famous in Suffolk anyway) House in the Clouds (http://www.houseintheclouds.co.uk/) ... for some reason someone decided to build a house on top of a water tower.

tomorrow evening, I will be going up to St Mary's Church in Kington, to hear our local choir make a joyful noise (God bless 'em) as they maltreat Mendelssohn's Elijah...possibly irreparably...Embarrassed
 
then on Sunday, I shall meet up again with our newest member of the PMT, to see The Reasoning at Bilston (who aren't Prog Metal or Heavy Prog...Ermm)

Oh and Rach, many sympathies.  My father came off his motorcycle back in the late 1960s and even though he had a helmet on, he still hurt his head.  I'm not the biggest fan of two-wheels really.  However, you're a very brave soul for riding one!

And luckily for me I was not in the Purton area today, otherwise I'd have seen something I shouldn't have! LOL
