Guys this is awesome, i just watched a re-transmission of the race and i am with a huge smile believe me, this is an unexpected result but a truly deserved one because of the wonderful race Vettel did.
This is one of THE 2008 unforgettable moments i am sure  |

why didn't we talk about Singapur and Japan races??
A double-win for Fernando, unexpected yeah, but great for him and Renault.
Two races left, i'm afraid that if either Massa or Hamilton make a mistake this weekend in China, the championship possibilities may be lost.

I missed Singapur but Japan was a good race, I'm surprised as Alonso won it on pace alone, no need for luck. One thing that really pissed me off was the penalty Bourdais was given after the race, which droped him to tenth, it was Massa's bloody fault! The Stewards seem to be really incompetent this year and they're different at every race.

That is indeed disgraceful. Bourdais was on the correct line and had absolutely no where else to go; Massa had full vision of what was going on and could easily have avoided any collision. I refer everyone back to my post about Ferrari International Assisitance. 
Hamilton should not have received a penalty for the first corner either; it was a normal racing incident with no contact and in no way a deliberate ploy to cause an accident. Hamilton paid for it anyway by ruining his front tyres and with that any chance of a win. The FIA do need to sort out a suitable panel of stewards who actually understand racing and then keep them the same for a whole season so that we get some sort of consistency in the decisions.

To be honest, while watching the race and saw that incident the first thing in my mind was "it was Massa's fault" and then i also though about that Hamilton penalty, so the stewards are crazy this year

For those that missed these bits of news recently, both the French and Canadian GP have been axed for next year. Bernies greed is beggining to really wear thin.

They plan a new racetrack near Paris to be ready for 2010,,,...but of course if some other Emir from Dubai or Brunei wants their own F1 race, half or moreof the european races will be gone by then!

I guess we should be looking at a GP in Putinland soon , the MOCKBA race (Looks better in cyrilic) and maybe another in Saudi Arabia , they would call it the "MECCA- Nickel " and dime GP  Montreal is slowly turning into a hasbeen town , too bad.

I was referring to Ecclestone's seemingly anti-French stance : got rid of Spa in Belgium, killed Magny-Cours and afew previous French races and has been giving Montreal a hard ride since day one ......Max will have to go to Amsterdam to get his domme fix

I guess the championship is (almost) over....Hamilton won again, but let's not forget what happened last year when Raikkonen won the championship although starting the last race 7 points behind

Abu Dahbi is in next year so its going to be at leasta 17 race calleneder, but apparently the manufacturers are pushing hard to get Canada back on the calander, no North American races doesnt go down with them
Didnt see all of yesterdays race but by the first stops (when I had togo to work) Hamilton had Ferrari well and truly covered. I really hope Hamilton wins, that way he would have beaten Massa and the FIA.
