After reading Jon's letter to Yes fans, in which he revealed what a-holes the other members have been, all I can say is f--- them. I will not go see this tour. And I have lost all respect for Chris and Steve as people. Very sad to find out what rotten people they are inside.

The question is will they play Gates of Delirium on this tour. Whilst a Wakeman is in the line-up, it's not Rick. Any views?
Incidentally, if they tour the UK and expect to charge £40-£50 upwards they know where to shove it.

Just listening to the classic Roundabout off Fragile......Benoit David to do it live instead....nah!!!!! Not for me
Now whatever happened to David Benoit? One wonders if Benoit David's folks had a wicked sense of humour?
Great refresh comments from JA though...

Nobody said back then the Drama line-up was not really YES!...so why not!
And i think Jon will be back....Life is full of disapointments, we just have to get over it and i am sure Jon will.
He is very attached to all what is Yes. Sure not to have Chris and Steve not calling him once should make him feel s%tty!.................But Squire can do whatever he wants; he owns the name!

Let's hope is not the end of Yes. In fact, Jon has removed that entry from his web and added this to his mySpace page:
YES fans like ME....
yo.......just dreaming YES music will be found again by so many young
people out there,I've just been watching some YES DVD's from 6 years
ago,35 year tour of Europe, I realized that the band 'still' play the
'game of adventure' through music...OK, the fans want to hear their
favorite songs...and they are MY favorite songs as well, and YES
deliver, but they played 'new' songs....still inventive, and with
style, I feel so thankful and happy to have been a part of those
days.....but ''Those days are Over', it's time to breath life
again...maybe next summer, 'who knows'... So i think there are a lot of chances Yes will come back next year with a lot of prog for everyone! |

Flippin' eck you would have thought this was all done with the blessing of Jon - not behind his back. Yours is a disgrace! Sorry.....hard to see how they all continue as Yes "proper" after this.
Well, at least I saw them on their 35th anniversary tour....seems that'll be it then for the "classic" line-up......

It is disgusting how Jon has been treated. Could this be the end of Yes?

Jon is not happy. From jonanderson.com
"September 18, 2008 Disappointed, and very Disrespected Disappointed that, with the exception of one phone call from Alan, none of the guys have been in touch since my illness, just to find out how I am doing, and how we will foresee the future for YES. And disappointed that they were not willing to wait till 2009 when I’m fully recovered. And I feel very disrespected, having spent most of this year creating songs and constant ideas for the band, spending time with Roger Dean creating a stage design, also working with VH1 and Sirius and XM Radio to help promote the welfare of YES. Getting sick was not "on my radar”, and I thank my own angel Janeee and my family for helping me through this difficult time, and the many well wishers, friends and fans alike, for understanding that ''things happen''. Of course I wish the guys all the best in their 'solo' work, but I just wish this could have been done in a more gentlemanly fashion. After all YES is a precious musical band. This is not YES on tour... I send best wishes to one and all, Jon Anderson September 2008 " Edited by Codis - September 30 2008 at 11:01 |

Exactly, Keswick is ideal for me, but the Philly venues are great too, in fact I saw Yes at the Tower in the late 90s. Won't be bothered to travel to Hershey, Reading, etc. for an Anderson-less Yes. |

Ridiculous prices for the Hammerstein.
Westbury is a bit more reasonable..I might go to that date.

This past Saturday Steve Howe performed a solo show at the Oscar Peterson Theatre Concert Hall ( about 480 seats, very intimate ) at Concordia University, Loyola Campus in Montréal and I only heard about it the day after

I'm still quite baffled as to why WILLIAMSPORT was chosen. I can understand Reading and even Hershey, but Williamsport? I'm surprised they didn't choose Philadelphia. There's plenty of great venues here such as the Electric Factory, Tower Theater, and Keswick Theater that I think this lineup would sound great in. Oh well, I can wait for Jon Anderson to return, IF he does.

A chance to see them in a place that seats 2,000 is great for me.
