I LIKE the idea of Peter as Bishop Brennan if only for this classic:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enqF5yisgVI

Now - although in a Shed adaptation I'd rather be Tom (the psycho in the 'I shot JR' t-shirt), I think I'd be more suited to another role:

Pallas?!? Feck!

Hehe.  I'm glad you said that - now I don't have to!  (Phew!)

Also... may I make so bold as to say that I am far prettier and more wanton than Mrs Doyle, and thus a poor candidate for the post of Craggy Island's resident tea-pushing crone... Wink LOL

Now the Old Speckled Hen and Old Peculier barrels do not need labels either because Jim drank them both, all in one crazy candlelit night listening to The Sentinel on his own.  He was so inebriated afterwards, he did not have time to find the bathroom, so he had to re-fill the barrels. PinchDead

So don't touch them!

Although I've been reliably informed that there no difference in taste.

This is exactly why I don't drink beer. Dead LOL

You had drunk a whole barrel of Old Peculier first though. Wink  Plus The Sentinel was so emotionally intense for you, you just had to keep on drinking and you didn't care what it was!  Old Speckled Hen was the next barrel along, so... Wink

Generally the sheeps' wool treating solution (or lant, if you want to be technical) tastes better.

I think that he must have drunk copiuos amounts of a decent beer to have drunk the Old Speckled Hen in the first place.

Bah. Or is it Baa? One would think that with this being an archiving site and all, that you guys would have a better labeling system in place.  How is one to know the difference between fermenting lager and sheep's wool treating solutions?  After all, I am from the US where it is said we wouldn't know a good beer or lager if it came up and bit us.  Which by the way I think that I was almost bit by one of those sheep on my way out.

Don't you be worrying my sheep, townie AngryAngryAngry (strums a few bars of Duelling Banjos....).

What gave me away as a townie?  You must have overheard me saying "nice doggies" while trying to pet them.

We've got a saying round these parts - 'Red sky at night - shepherd's delight, red sky in the morning - your house is on fire'.

Too right Jim. My advert offering 'English Lessons' got several hundred replies in the first week, five or six of them from actual language students...
