And now we hear that the FIA have given Hamilton a 25 second penalty. I'm absolutely disgusted at the moment, the FIA should be ashamed they've absolutely ruined a fantastic race and will probably ruin a few more races to ensure that Ferrari win again.

Absolutley bloody stupid decision by a complete bunch of arseholes. I can only conlude that the stewards decision making process includes large quantities of Belgian beer and cannabis. If Massa wins the world title by less than 6 points it will be the most undeserved title in F1 history.
I've seen Glock got a 25 second penalty as well, dont know what for but it promotes Webber to 8th. |

Glock was handed a penalty for overtaking under yellow flags which is fair really. I don't think F1 has seen this sort of bias since the decision to use Monza's banking in 1969 (IIRC) which was well known to favour front engined cars and by then the only Ferrari has front engined cars.

I missed the race but seems that it had some controversial decisions, what happened with Hamilton, why did he receive that 25-second penalty? seeing you are disgusted about it, i'm afraid then that the penalty was not completely fair, then, i will be again dissapointed with the stewards

Here's what happened Memo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAD3yUUefoQ
The stewards gave him a 25 second penalty for gaining an advantage, but you can see he backed off and let Kimi pass, but was so much better on the brakes going into La Source that he got him back easily. |

It's a bit controversial but I can't really say if the decision is fair or not.
Turning left on the chicane really provides him with an advantage, but if he haven't done so the two would have collided for sure... Can't say really.. |

what a shame, it's a pity that penalty happened to Lewis after his great race, yes he could have had an advantage, but c`mon...he simply had to do that

They key thing is that he conceded the position he gained which under the rules should mean that you don't get a penalty, McLaren asked Charlie Whiting if Hamilton had done enough to avoid a penalty and he said yes. So basically that means that a bunch of jobsworths in an office overruled the man who probably knows more about the rules of F1 than anybody else.

Monza this weekend. The forcast is for low tempretures which could play into McLarens hands. McLarens Appeal will be held on the 22nd of September, so we wont have to wait to long to find out how crooked the FIA are. And lastly, Raikkonen has signed a contract through to the end of 2010, matching Massa's. Should put an end to the rumours of Kubica/Alonso going there.

Can't really read much into those times since the first session was cancelled. Good to see the force India's running well again though.

That was a weird session well done to Torro Rosso I hope that the race tomorrow is wet as they would really profit from it.

After the shameful events at Spa last week F1 really needed that result, Vettel was simply stunning and really deserved that victory, yes you could argue that he only got it due to the weather but Toro Rosso have been at the top of the mid field pack recently. What really confuses me though is why wasn't Hamilton driving as well as he was today yesterday?

Just one point now between Hamilton and Massa for the championship...The last races should be something to watch....Won't be any miracle for Raikonnen this time around!
And when you think an ex-Minardi won the race

I'll say, but he did prove one thing though, he can drive through from the back. If the forcast rain had come he would have won this race. Singapore in two weeks, a new street track (proper one, not like Valencia which was largely purpose built) and F1's first night race. Apparently long range forcast say 60% chance of rain! |

Yes, I've been looking foward to Singapore.
And after the lackluster race in Valencia I really, really hope this one is good |
