Indeed a very interesting band. By the way I don't think people ever mention Into Eternity. Buried In Oblivion is one heck of an album. TOO GOOD...anybody else who have heard of them? |

Don't mean to be mean but Into Eternity opened for Dream Theater I couldn't stop laughing at the vocals (though I understand this was with their new vocalist) anyway listening to Psychotic Waltz last night, it's a shame their stuff is so hard to find in stores Edited by heyitsthatguy - August 19 2008 at 21:33 |

Yeah, from Scattering of Ashes and on I've disliked them. Their new vocalist is terrible IMHO. I think their second album and Buried In Oblivion are their best and it's gonna be very hard to top these albums. |

I really wish I had some Psychotic Waltz. I haven't been able to find any reasonably priced. One day I guess I'll break down and buy some. Very curious about them, seen them everywhere on here.

Into Eternity are awesome. They tour through here all the time, so I've gotten to see them live a few time. Their most recent performance on the Summer Slaughter Tour (with Necrophagist) was really excellent, all their vocal harmonies were spot on. I'm surprised to hear that people don't like Stu Block's vocals... IMHO he's an awesome vocalist and an excellent frontman. |

^^ I got to admit he can "sing". But his high notes sounds like my sister. The only thing I like about him are his death grunts. Vocals on Buried In Oblivion sound way better IMHO.

Heh, well, I love it. But I also love Judas Priest and King Diamond, so... Anyway, Dead or Dreaming is also really good. I agree that Buried in Oblivion is excellent. I've heard the eponymous album a few times, too, and it's in the same vein, but not very well produced, with way too many samples (starting/ending the songs). I was happy with the direction they took with Scattering (and from the sounds of it, the new album) because after Buried, they had the opportunity to continue to sweeten and commercialize their sound, but took the opposite direction instead. |

Opposite?? I'm not sure about that since I don't think they've ever been commercial. The Scattering Of Ashes is a bit of a disappointment. They returned to the same formula as before: repeating rhythms over and over again(listen to the first 2 albums and that one carefully and you'll notice what I mean) and in Buried In Oblivion they did something really different within their particular sound. And the new album...well it's even more of a disappointment though not entirely. |

I think Buried is their most commercial sounding by far (which is not to say I don't like it). They could easily have jumped ship on metal and started making whiny emo pop. Sure, they didn't see commercial success with it, but that's not what I'm talking about. |
