Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

look on it as a trail of bread-crumbs to lead the grey and befuddled to the right room - wouldn't want them to stumble into the Suede & Brett Anderson appreciation room by mistake.

For lack of Peter's pics (or did I miss something), here's one that shows how our vacation was interrupted after only 5 hours - just north of Paris....
Our car decided to take a little vacation for itself - one of the engine supports came off, resulting in a lot of noise and the engine dropping some 15 centimeters on one side. It's been send home on a truck, and we got a BMW 320 Touring to continue our trip. I can assure that I'll be glad to have my giant Skoda back tomorrow. We could barely fit our stuff in the BMW, which is twice as expensive to buy but not in the least double to fun to drive. |

Later we were joined at our tent by Steven Wilson, a stiff drinker of rosé....

One thing has been bugging me since last week though - what was Tony R doing in the train behind my son, and why didn't he talk to us?

Tsk tsk!
Never a problem here...
Go team Toyota! (Or is that something else we'd never agree on?)
^ Re the holiday pic posting, I guess I need to find a web service to put them on first, eh?
Any recommendations folks? (Keep it simple please: no arcane compu-nerd-speak! ) Edited by Peter - August 17 2008 at 17:12 |

Make that three people advising the same thing, Peter: check out Photobucket.
Further - in response to your post: in two weeks, I have to turn in my company car (the one that will be returned to me tomorrow), and get my own. One of the drawbacks of starting my own company, but based on experiences over the past 3 years, I reckon I'll just get another Skoda. Nothing against Toyota, though. And of course - we agree on many, many things, but we don't agree completely yet. So far, we agree that my English grammar is crap, Canada is a great country and Prog makes our day. What's next - apart from being lookalikes according to James? |

^ Thanks guys -- I'll give Photo
I take it it's not free.... whadda I need? Just a credit card?
What are the costs like? (you can answer in US$$ if you like -- it's much the same thing these days ...)
Oh, and BTW:
Big Blue the killer KLR remains fun -- pardon me if I'm not online much when the sun shines!!
My last week of my summer vacation is coming up, and the long-range forecast is for sun and warm (it was a decidedly wet summer for central Canada and points east -- New England area too)! Edited by Peter - August 18 2008 at 12:45 |

You'll be pleasantly surprised to know Botophucket's completely free, young sir
OK - now the professor's back, time to post a couple of photos here - I've only uploaded a couple so far, but there will be more to come (cue sound of people frantically clambering over themselves in an effort to flee the shed before Peter & Jim can get the slide projector working): Always good to have ice for your drink when it's about 26 degrees We saw just so many whales when we were there - every day, I believe... stunning creatures By the time I took this shot, I could have patted the little bugger on the head - remarkably tolerant of people. I love this shot... Peter in thoughtful mode at Bonavista Harbour OK, that's it for now people, you can come back in now. (Landscape shots to follow) |

Great photos, Jim! Looks like Peter and yourself had great fun.
Angelo, I've lost track a bit... is this company your setting up in reference to what we discussed last year, or is it something else? If it is the same idea, then let me know if you need any help or advice. Also, good luck with that. |
