Well that's different.

Hasn't it just - and a permanent new name hasn't even been decided upon yet (I shall lobby Steve this evening to support "The Shed" - it is his thread, after all).

Also - good to see the word "Crikey" getting an airing; well done.

"Crikey"...?  Cripes.... the  GR  SEGR is everybody's  Hug

how about calling it  "Steve's Aging Grey Amigos" Wink

don't think i'll be able to be there tonight, i'll have to remain square.  working till 7 (knackered moving desks, cupboards and filing cabinets), drive home the long way round as the Council has the roads up again, have my annual bath and backscrub, fumigate my shoes, clean my wig in the washing machine, scrub my curry tackle, eat 8oz of fresh manure and a glass of cat pee to tone down my halitosis...... would luckily make it up there by 2 am....Unhappy

have fun! Big%20smile

That should keep casual browsers out

Aha -- I found you fine "well-seasoned" folks at last! Smile

Was the original Grey Room finally closed due to "maximum occupancy" & zoning by-laws, or did those pesky PA kids perhaps get in one night and trash the dear old place beyond repair?ConfusedWink

"Heer" would indicate Jim would be a "van Garten". Wink

All threads that reach 3000 posts get closed and hidden, so that's why a few threads have been re-started on P.A.

It's in an effort to make P.A. run faster and I must say, it has certainly been working; so well done to Max. Thumbs%20UpClap

"The Shed"  certainly works, or Jim's suggestion of "Grey Pride" is good too........... I think though abouve all the democracy isn't always a great thing, some one should just decide and do it, then we can all live with it. Once we get to 3000 posts we can always pick another name!

Welcome back Peter,  we've missed your wit and wisdom, and all the grammar has gone to pot since you've been away!

quite right, Rach...Clap

I appreciate my 'temporary' name is rather unimaginative, but it was created in a state of panic, upon seeing that the GR had disappeared...Shocked.  My initial concern had been that a number of perplexed, disenfranchised Greys would be wandering aimlessly throughout the cyber-ether, with nowhere to call home...Unhappy

Shudder the thought!   My life is stressful and complicated enough without losing the way to the "switch off and be damned" zone !

I'd be wandering the corridors with my hair in curlers, pink fluffy slippers, 3 year old copy of "Classic Rock" tucked under my arm in dog-eared and well worn fashion, and a couple of stolen ginger nuts in my robe pocket popping into "young persons" threads in the middle of the night scaring the heebyjeebies out of the poor youthful souls!

Hooorah for the GR (or whatever it's called!)

Where we can be as grumpy as we darn well please without offending the other residents!

Let's call it "Colin" or "Stanley" or whatever...........

Funny though just reading through this before I hit "post" (Peter's back after all!) to find I had mistakenly typed  "Classic Rick" LOLLOLLOL

As you were chaps...........

As Neil Young sang so eloquently - 'A man needs a shed'.

Which reminds me, I must replace the batteries in my hearing aid...
