I receantly got Between the buried and me´s Colors. It´s pretty good, but I´m not crazy about the DT inspired moments. They do remind me a bit to UnExpect, but less avant garde

I saw Le Grand Guignol in here.
I love that album; if you like Arcturus, especially their carnival metal stylings, you'd like this album.

I'm disappointed - neither of these players are avant-garde!
Al di Meola.

haha i know. but the poll itself is avant-garde

Listened to it that night I posted it... Certainly didn't offend me on any level. Will have to spend time with the lyrics to see what's it all about.

Still waiting on my Altera Enigma cd
Ordered it with Octopus and Super-string Theory and received those a week ago. Maybe I should go check my eMail.

Wow...first time I suggested something that you liked.
Great band.Brutal yet complex and intricate music. The vocals don't bother me,especially since the music is so good.

I really enjoyed "The Art of Navigating the Stars", but couldn't stand "Paramount." Think the track, Iconic did me in. I gave their earlier material a spin or two, but it was long ago..
I'm really curious about 7for4, but I haven't listened to them yet.

Sieges Even is avery nice band, not really "extreme", just "extremely" good. New Gojira album will arrive this October, The Way of All Flesh.

the latest two Sieges Even discs they have done are also their worst. I would recommend starting with Life Cycle (much like Watchtower) and working forward. But especially Sophisticated!
7for4 is the fusion project of two-time Sieges Even guitarist Wolfgang Zenk!
