Zappa in Barcelona '88 DVD

bad news first, even so you can buy this DVD "officially " on Amazon and most big record outlets, this DVD is not an official Zappa Family Trust approved release. (I didn't added it to the database therefore ) It's released by a German company called MasterPlan MP (BTW a nasty MP logo stucks during the whole film in the lower right corner)...it has the  Italian SIAE logo which seems to be the most easily available copyright society in Europe.....another German company FNM distributes a lot of these borderline productions....

....on the other hand as a fan I am totally happy and bought te DVD before Gail &Co will hunt it down ....and yes it's really cheap ...
You get an entire concert of the famous "band you never heard in your life" which toured from february to juin 1988 in the States and Europe. The present concert took place May 17 in Barcelona and presents a programme close to the two records that Zappa himself had released of this band TBBYNH and MAJNH + one  unreleased track the cover of "I Am The Walrus". Apparently the film was shot by Spanish TV with at least 4 cameras and  professional editing also this DVD looks and sounds  more like a second generation VHS copy transferred to digital. Still the overall quality is good (I have some glitches on my copy) and it's a good show with some great ZapSolos and this band was musically one of the most interesting bands Z. had especially the woodwind & brass arrangements.
