^Very sad news, I was hopeing that the Weigle groups bid would be accepted but I know the Honda F1 team was very much against it.

Indeed, but why was Nick Fry allowed to decide whether SA should race, I think Honda will have made a lot of enemies over the past few days.

I think its more to do with Ross Brawn, its just that Nick Fry gets to deliver the bad news so to speak. I think since RB joined last year he's been pushing with the Honda managment to cut SA loose and focus on the works team, especially after last years disasterus car. Fry said something in the press about the Weigle group being too small to properly support an F1 team and thought it better to have the team finish than limp on alla Arrows/Minardi in their last few years. I believe it was the Honda bosses that pushed for Bernie to ban SA from entering the Turky paddock (there's a joke in there somewhere ![Tongue](smileys/smiley17.gif) ) so that if the deal fell through it would be as embaressing for them.

Possibly so, I just hope that another team comes in soon as 20 cars really isn't enough. Unfortunately though the new entry would probably have to be a new manufacturer team.

I wouldnt count on it then. VW-Audi/Porsche arent really interested, GM doesnt have a global car company besides Chevrolette, who are well invold in GT's, NASCAR and the WTCC, Ford only got out a coupleyears ago and Hyundai's motorsport record speaks for itself.

Yeah that's the problem there's no new manufacturers who I can see who would be interested except perhaps Aston Martin but since the Prodrive entry failed I can't see David Richards risking it again.

^Aston dont really have the money, plus they're beginning to push into LMP1 this year with the Charouze Racing Lola B08/60 (run by Prodrive, effectively making it a works car, and its certainly capable of keeping the Audi R10's on their toes, despite being 50hp+ down).

Not the best race ever but it was moderately entertaining, I thought both McLarens put on a great performance and that 3 stop strategy definitely seemed to work well.

Well, it appears that Ferrari is deff the class of the field. There's a long season to go, but at this rate....Kimi is running away to a 2nd title. Also, looks like a good battle between McLaren and BMW is forming for 2nd place.

Its a shame the McLaren couldnt deal with the cross winds in qually or Hamilton would have been on pole. From their he would have won with his three stop strategy. I think the McLaren was very nearly a match for the Ferrari, look how Kimi couldnt really get close enough to even consider attacking Lewis for second.

Wherre the hell is the Coke 600? Would watch Indy but I dont have a channel here that shows it. I'm certain Hamilton will win in Monaco, but I was last year as well. Good luck with your race Chris, heres to another podium.

^I knew what it was, just not where (European races tend to have a habit of including the venue in the race title, kind of useful if you want to go ![Wink](smileys/smiley2.gif) ) and the 600 was a bit obvious. I'm a bit dubious as to whether Ferrari have sorted out their problems with high kerbs from last year, something that they cant test for at Paul Ricard but could hit them hard at Monaco and Canada after that.
