Oh, a bunch - can't name all of them off the top of my head, but I also saw "Freewill", "Circumstances", "Natural Science",.... check the album's page here in PA for the full set list.

I've got the new live disc on in the car. Really glad I picked it up. Again, Lifeson just shines...and how great is it to hear "Entre Nous" live.

Love the Snake & Arrows material. Anybody know if those were real chickens in the rotisserie ovens? Thought it was a great idea if they were and Rush donated them to food pantries in that particular city.

You haven't peeked yet? I won't be seeing them on this second leg being as they're not coming back over to Britain but I couldn't resist seeking out the setlist the minute it was announced.

I won't ruin it for you, I'll just say that depending on how you found the first leg setlist you'll either be hugely disappointed or overjoyed by the new setlist. That reveals nothing!

So now I'm curious. How did you find the show? What did you think to the new setlist?

22 days since a Rush fan posted? Shocked

Anyways, I'll be seeing them tonight - second row floor Big%20smile. Simply can not wait! I definitely can't wait to hear the
new setlist (I wrote it down last time and it turned out to be the tracklist for S&A Live LOL). I've got my fingers crossed
for a bunch of songs but I won't be disappointed if they don't play everything I want to hear. My poor wallet
should also be hurting after the merch table.

A question for Rush fans: What's your favorite version of Closer To The Heart? They've recorded it live at least
a hundred times. Personally I love the jam session at the end of the Show of Hands version.

June 10th for me.  12 days away.  They are playing at Joe Louis Arena, the home of the Detroit Red Wings.  If the Stanley Cup finals go to a game 7 it will be on June 7th, so it will be pretty close to conflicting with a Championship Parade and party, which would probably occur on the 9th I assume, since they probably wouldn't do it on a Sunday.

Possible (probable) Wings win the cup and Rush concert within a week - you're in for a good week there Scott!  Big%20smile

I won't count the goals before their scored, but I'm definitely hoping for the Wings' to win the Cup.  Pittsburgh played much better in Game 3 last night, or the Wings played much worse (I'm not sure which or both).  But the Rush concert is a definite so it will definitely be a good week.

That's a damn good album. If you liked Farewell to Kings you'll get a kick out of Hemispheres. They played Circumstances
last time I saw 'em, maybe a full blown rendition of Hemispheres this time around? (but don't tell me! I don't want
spoilers!! LOL)

When they play anything from Moving Pictures I'll be sure to think of you Rob. Wink

For those of you that may not have heard:

Original Rush Drummer John Rutsey Dies

John Rutsey, a founding member of the seminal Canadian rock band Rush, has died, his family announced. He was 55.

Rutsey played drums with Rush from 1968 to 1974, as well as on the band's eponymous debut album, but departed soon afterwards, apparently due to a lifelong illness stemming from diabetes.

In an obituary published in the Toronto Star, his family said his May 11 death was caused by “complications from his lifelong affliction with diabetes." Some news reports said Rutsey died from a heart attack in his sleep.

According to Rush's official biography, Rutsey was supposed to write the lyrics for the band's first album, but grew dissatisfied with his attempts and never completed them. He was replaced by Neil Peart, who remains as the band's drummer and lyricist.

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson said Rutsey became a fitness fanatic after leaving the band According to a 1989 interview with Alex Lifeson on the Rockline Radio program, Rutsey gave up playing (drums) shortly after he left the band and went into bodybuilding. He competed on an amateur level for a while, doing that for a few years. and continued having contact with Lifeson until the early 1990s.

Funeral arrangements are being kept private at the family's request.

Listening since 1980

My favorite part of the show was when they played "Digital Man" followed by "Ghost of a Chance" I didn't expect those songs at all and they sounded AMAZING!!!

^^^ I second that notion Big%20smile

As for the passing of John Rutsey, it's very sad indeed... RIP, and great drumming with Rush...

I'm counting the days until my first Rush live experience. 45.

Also, as much as I love you rushfan, I hope the wings choke, choke, choke. I'm still bitter about their sweep of the Avs Ouch
