Indeed, I just hope that Kubica wasn't running very light.

Goddamn.
That wreck is easily the worst I've seen in some time. I'm amazed he didn't at least break an arm or something.
It just shows the progress of safety as everyone has said. Anyone remember the Neadeu (or however you spell his name) crash at richmond that ended his career? Nothing compared to this one....at all. Thank God the COT actually does what it is suppose to.

Nadeau, it's impossible to forget that one as he lives very close to me and I knew him even before he hit it big. He certainly had many wins and championships in front of him, but he's made a great job of training David Gilliland into a good little driver and I really hope to see him back one of these days. It's way too risky though, one more shot to his left side and that's the end of him, so it must be horrible to be in his position right now.
Cup race at Texas tomorrow, IRL race at St. Pete's, and Chris Henne testing at Poughkeepsie Speedway. Three major motorsports events!

I'm usually up at 5 so I was good for it.
And I'm going to set my alarm but I'll probably sleep through it.

Not a bad race.
Kubica got beat by turn 1....but I guess it's not too surprising. A HUGE congrats to Massa Seems to me he went head to head with Kimi and managed to beat him. Good race for Heidfeld and Rosberg and Hamilton had an abysmal one.... No doubt Ferrari is #1 this year, and BMW is on the rise |

I predict we will see BMW win before the end of the year, they've jumped McLaren. I'm pissed at Alonso and the FIA, he should not be allowed to brake test Hamilton like that, there's just no way that the McLaren could out accelerate the Renault like that (Renault has great traction, the McLarens is rubbish), it was far too dangerous to let slip IMO.
On a side note, I saw the Le Mans Series race from Barcelona yesterday and way to go to the Lola- Aston Martin on its debut, racing with the Peugeot's and Audi's. |

Last weekend i went to the WTCC in Puebla, actually its not a category that i use to follow, but it was a nice race, Seat took the weekend and BMW left Mexico without the expected points.
And talking about BMW, after 3 races nobody would thought they will be on the top of the team`s classification, both drivers are doing very well, this year will be also great i am sure. |

Yes, BMW needs some major props, and Renault has fallen WAY OFF.
It's OK for Alonso though, because according to everyone he'll be replacing Massa next year, which I really hope is not the case. |

Yes, this gap was way to big, and I could use a r ace this weekend to ease my mind off school/life right now.

Not really looking forward to this weekend's race, it'll probably be just another Catalunya high speed parade.

^Your right about that, I've been spoiled for choice as to what to watch (anyone else see the McNish/Capello Audi nearly flip at Monza this afternoon?!).
Alonso's lap was very good yesturday, stoped only 2 laps before Massa, shame about the engine, good to see Hamilton and Kubica keep the Ferraris honest here, I was worried they were going to completely walk it. I hear Hiki is fine, which is very good as well. |

Well, it was not a very exciting race.
At least it was interesting, the race of attrition really shook up the points. And thank god Kovalainen is alright, it appears, from that nasty crash. When they said he went UNDER the barrier I was afraid his head has been smashed. |

^ It reminded me of Luciano Burti's crash at Spa in 01, he was out of action for about 4 months and didnt race in F1 again.
