Definitely a quality drive from Robert today. Its a shame that Hamilton had the wheel gun problem in the first stops as it would have been interesting to see him and Kubica fight for second. |

Congrats to Kimi for another win!
Also a HUGE congrats to Kubica on his 2nd place finish, and Kovalainen for his 3rd
(That's a good podium) Also nice run for Truli.
Pretty decent race. Hamilton was screwed sine that pit stop and the Ferrari's SPANKED the field. That a was true battle for the win between them until Massa went off the track.
Anyway after 2 races I can safely say: This will be a good season, BMW Sauber is looking good, Toyota is looking better, and Renault has fallen off.

I feel the same, this will be another exciting season, it would be nice to see a BMW fighting for the title

I dont think BMW will be fighting for the title, but I will be surprised if they dont win a race this year. I also think it was just a bad race for WIlliams, Rosbergs pace yesterday suggested that they would be just behind the BM's with a clear run.

It's like they said...we have to see who will be the "best of the rest" while Ferrari and McLaren continue to battle.

Oh wow..I fell so off track in the offseason
I just checked the schedule and saw there's going to be a Street Circuit in Valencia, Spain. Looked like quite a layout, I'm not sure personally when they snuck that race in but I am looking foward to it. Edited by JJLehto - March 30 2008 at 00:51 |

They snuck that in to capitalise on the popularity of Alonso as since a certain German has left the sport there's no need to have 2 GPs in Germany instead there's apparently a need to have 2 GPs in Spain.

Ah, well that explains it.
Speaking of Alonso I've heard rumors, (and I mean RUMORS) of Alonso heading over to Ferrari? |

Yep that's the current rumour, I suspect that if it's true Massa will be fired at the end of the season and Alonso brought in to replace him. Of course if Alonso's wishes had come true he'd already be in a Ferrari he only went to Renault because no one else would take him.

To be fair to the ex champ car teams and drivers they've had practically no time to get used to the cars and don't race on ovals very often.
Sad news this morning, it seems that former touring car driver David Leslie and team owner Richard Lloyd were among those killed in a plane crash yesterday in Kent. |

I know there probably won't be too much concern here, but check up on Youtube in a few days or ESPN and try and find footage of the horrific crash Michael McDowell just had during qualifying for Sunday's race. I'm in Fort Worth right now and the garage area is just completely awestruck at how a driver can wake away from that kind of impact. Just a true testament to the safety of the new car, which we as racers all know is the number one thing in this sport.
Peace.

I guess for all its uglyness, the CoT does have some very good points about it. |

I was out with my friends at TGI Fridays when we saw that crash on TV. We all can't believe he was just fine.
And on F1 news: W00T go Kubica! He's getting so close to that first win. |
