I just found out these guys existed because they are going on a tour with Scale the Summit. Wow, what a band. I can't believe i've been missing them for so long. They are a nice blend of Progressive Rock and Ambience. Check them out.

they also have some videos on youtube.
Get a 7 string or get out.

And they're also on PA:

Like them a lot as well.

Scale the Summit is here as well:
Nice band, but I'd like to hear more development, variety, originality and progress in their next album.

Mind Capsule is definitely a better band at doing Scale The Summit's kind of music. They even have a Soft Machine cover which is simply wonderful.

All Is Violent, All Is Bright is a pretty awesome album. I don't think they are as good as other post rock groups though.

perhaps god is an astronaut might not be the best of post rock bands but they tend to do something diferent within the genre unlike other bands of the same genre like pg.lost

Great band. I kinda feel they're in need of exploring with some new sounds, but even with that said, "Far From Refuge" was one of my fav. albums of last year. (their drummer had some amazing work on it)

I only heard them for the first time recently, but I thought they were pretty damned good.  A pleasant surprise.

I don't know if people noticed, but  God is an Astronaut released a new single in the last days of 2007. If I'm not mistaken the single can be sampled @ their myspace page. Check it out.

Not only is God not an Astronaut, but you cannot petition the Lord with prayer.  (At least so I've heard.) (so I've heard) (so I've heard)....
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Well, I got All is violent, all is bright, and think it's pretty incredible, four stars no doubt. The only flaw is that the album is a bit too straiht forward, not letting the songs climax at a reasonable pase.
