This is going to be the most narcissistic/conceded thread in the history of the PA!

I bet none of you know that I actually have a life outside of progressive rock, and may I say quite a succesful life. I have been swimming competitvely since I was 4 and a half. I have won multiple high point awards, divisional 1st places, and have qualified for invitationals every single year I have been in ths sport, and rescently I have acheived one of my highest acheivments.

Those of you who dont know anything about competitive swimming WILL find this a challenging read.

This weekend we had our annual high school districts in Austin. Friday we had we had prelims to see who would advance to finals in the individual events (all A relays went on too finals), so I seated myself in third in the 200 IM (2:03), and second in the 100 breastroke (1:01). So on saturday my A medley 200 relay came in third with me anchoring in freestyle. I came in second place in my 200 IM (2:01), only being beaten by thirteen hundredths of a second. My 200 Freestyle relay came in third, only half a secnond away from the school record. I came in second in the 100 breastroke, being beaten by the same guy as the IM, and almost in the same timeframe, but I shaved off a second, therefore I BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD.

Now I'm off to regionals in Houston in two weeks, I dont know what I'm seated in any of those four events, but I'm told I have a chance at state. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

I'll put up some pictures of me on the pedestul when I get them!Big%20smile

2:01 in the 200IM is pretty good - congratulations.  All of my kids swim and my oldest earned a college scholarship for his efforts.  Best wishes to you in your regional efforts.

Wow, Ian even POSTED in the last one, yet he made a new thread which was the exact same thing.  I think that should go down as some sort of impressive personal achievement.
