There is a mistake in the line-up of "Jane" for the album "Age Of Madness".

Manfred Wieczorke is still holding the keys. I had to do some research for this since little information is available. Tom Ozric sent me an e-mail about this and I could find info which confirms this at the following address :

From :

and from :

"Over the late 70s JANE benefitted from a degree of stability, releasing 1977 'Between Heaven and Hell' and 1978's 'Age Of Madness'. These two albums witnessed strong international sales in territories such as America, Australia and Japan. After the latter however Wieczorke had opted for pastures new".

From : http://www.b-kunze.de/jane/janebio.htm (in German)

"Es folgten die sehr kraftvollen und bombastischen Alben Between heaven and hell ( 1977) und Age of madness (1978). Manfred Wieczorke verließ die Band und auf der 1979 erschienenen LP Sign No. 9 übernahm Klaus Hess die Orgelparts".

This basically means that Wieczorke left the band after "Age of madness" and that Hess will hold the keys from their "N° 9" album.

Cheers,

Daniel.

Thanks again Daniel. Could you let me know what the correct line up should be? I don't have the album at hand, so I can't check. I suppose Mr. Hess needs some credits removed, and Mr. Wieczorke should be added for keyboards (in general, or just organ, or moog) and probably vocals?

Hi Angelo,

The line-up is the same as on their previous effort "Between Heaven & Hell" meaning :

Klaus Hess / guitars, vocals
Martin Hesse / bass, vocals
Peter Panka / drums, percussion, vocals
Manfred Wieczorke / keyboards, vocals

Sorry for this double message, next time I will be more specific at once.

Take care,

Daniel.

Hey no problem. If had a copy of the album available your first would've been sufficient. Consider it fixed.

Thanks again for reporting!
