This is a new game, but it's much more than just a game. It's a quest for the ultimate truth about smells, the definition for every smell imaginable. I got the idea when I was listening to Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana and thinking, what exactly does teen spirit smell like? After careful consideration I came to the following alarming conclusion:

Teen spirit smells like the illusion of freedom.

This brings up another interesting question: What does the illusion of freedom smell like? Obviously it smells like teen spirit, but what else?

The illusion of freedom smells like the blissful state of ignorance.

What does the blissful state of ignorance smell like? I don't know, but maybe someone else will. If you do, please share your knowledge in a sentence of the form "The blissful state of ignorance smells like X." It doesn't matter if you don't know what X smells like, because it's up to someone else to shed light on that subject. So, basically the game goes like this:

Teen spirit smells like the illusion of freedom.
The illusion of freedom smells like the blissful state of ignorance.
The blissful state of ignorance smells like A.
A smells like B.
B smells like C.

and so on, until we've found out the definition for every smell. One more thing: We are after true knowledge. If you're not absolutely sure what the thing in question smells like, don't post silly things like "The blissful state of ignorance smells like a banana", because by doing that you only mess things up and make it impossible for us truth-seekers to reach our goal. So, here's what we've found out so far, continue from here:

Teen spirit smells like the illusion of freedom.
The illusion of freedom smells like the blissful state of ignorance.
The blissful state of ignorance smells like...

The blissful state of ignorance smells like an aboriginie's armpit.
(By the way I don't know what teen spirit smells like but I've heard that with the lights out, it's less dang'ris.  Do not attempt to sing this song with marbles in you mouth.  No wait a second, that's the only proper way to sing that song.)

Golden shower as a rain gives you grains if you are not using your jacket and the smell will chase you after.

Let's pretend that "what you would expect it to" smells like a wet afghan coat that had a lump of over-ripe Ardahan cheese left in the pocket. So,

A wet afghan coat that had a lump of over-ripe Ardahan cheese left in the pocket smells like Eau de Cologne mixed with the sweat of a depressed poet covered in stains of instant coffee.

Jackie Gleason's sense of self worth smells like the night bus from CamdenTown to Mornington Crescent at 2 pm on a Sunday morning after a party of beauty therapists on girls' night out at the Electric Ballroom.
