Visitor13 still visits the forum from time to time (although I haven't seen him recently...). And yes - where is Velvetclown?

I can't say that I have any particular 'favorites'. There are those with whom I speak with a lot (Natural Science; Bhikkhu; Moogtron; Forgotten Son; Prog-Chick; Cyg; etc.); however, when I recently had a birthday, I got a lot of wonderful PM's from members that I've hardly said a word to. It's hard getting around to everyone in this forum, but it doesn't take away from what they really are on the inside. Even those that I've had 'run-ins' with are all essentially good people. Just because we don't see eye to eye doesn't mean I dislike them.
Just my two cents.

Same here. I sometimes have extended "conversations" with people like E-dub (who should get significant credit for starting the stunning work known as the Eye Candy thread ), Ghost Rider, micky, and The Progtologist, but I'd like to think I get along with pretty much everyone. A very friendly place, Prog Archives. However, an additional shout out to Angelo and all other contributors to the Prog Chefs thread is in order.

Ok, here goes, my own favourite people around here:
AVestin (just about as open as an open mind can get and a guy who seems to have a beautiful relationship with the music he listens to; he recommended a large part of my pleasant musical surprises since I joined PA more than a year ago)
Dick Heath (highly informative posts, especially on the jazz/fusion side of things - he made many things clear to me)
Syzygy (best written reviews to my mind and a guy whose tastes I can always trust)
Cesar Inca (again, colourful and revealing reviews, great recommendations for me on many occasions, a trustworthy source of opinions)
Black Velvet (along with Syzygy, the main authority in cutting edge prog music)
Easy Livin' (wonderful reviews, always a pleasure to read, and a great sense of diplomacy on the forum)
Peter Rideout (colourful posts, not just metaphorically speaking )
Mascodagama (similar musical taste to mine, therefore great guy )
Atavachron (same thing)
Trouserpress (great guy, not much posting lately)
SolariS (thoughtful comments, great taste)
Logan (another widely open mind, pertinent judgements, useful recommendations)
Geck0 (he knows obscure stuff, which is a good thing in itself )
Trickster G. (or was it H.? or maybe K.? - something like that ) (I know where he comes from, musicaly speaking of course, and I think it takes some balls to come here and tell everyone that e.g. Solefald is prog in the first place)
Phileas (a young guy listening to great music from what I've read - probably quickly becoming a prog elitist )
Victor-Ricochet (the kind of guy with whom one could indulge in long, inspiring conversations about music and art in general; a guy far ahead his biological age, as I'm sure others have told him already)
Andu (again, a guy with a taste for quality art; with Rico and him, I can relate to where they come from and the type of cultural education they build upon, and that is another reason for feeling at home on this forum )
Chicapah (interesting reviews, putting things in perspective, and an enthusiasm for new music that not many seem to share)
Sinkadotentree (same as above, a guy clearly in love with music - it's good to know they exist out there, you know...)
I always rush to read topics where the people above have posted. Most of the time, this is a sign of an interesting discussion going on - entertaining at the least, but usually informative or useful in some way.
Of course, I'm probably forgetting a few people, and I'm sure there are more that don't post enough to become obvious...
(Wow, long post, too long )

I'm so incredibly ashamed I left off a lot of names from my list, but specially these three:
Cuncuna - such great humour, and such a great start for me... In my first day here I got into such a useless argument with him, just because I acted...well... a little bit idiotic...
Ghost Rider - Oh La Bella Rafaella, Benvenutti al Mondo de la Teatro dei Sogni....You love it so much, i can't stop loving you....
Mr. Laplace from Neutral Zone - We disagree so much in musical tastes, what else can we do but shake our hands and hug?
