I was just scrolling through memberlist and I came up with a thought...

"Why are there so many members clogging up the list that have been here for 2 years and never posted?"

I think its pretty self-explanitory, should the admins delete member profiles if they have not been active for 8 months - 1 year?

For me that`s not really important, though i had thought about it before, there are soooo many "ghost" members that have not posted since 1 or 2 years, its not a bad idea but there woudl be hundreds of deleted profiles, though.

And those people might come back to see that their profile was deleted. And be mad at the site and not come back again.

Since it's a site policy, the decision to delete or not old & inactive profiles must come from the site owners. The Admins will eventually discuss it and later do the job.

In order not to be unfair, I'd like to remember that we have reviewers with 0 posts or a small number of them. They are not forum visitors but continue to do reviews.

^ but accounts which have neither posts nor reviews/ratings could safely be deleted after a couple of months ... they can always register again.

It's a bit like deleting old files from your PC. They don;t take up much room, and don't do any harm, but it's a time consuming job to remove them.

I always wonder about those Prog Reviewers that haven't visited in months, or even years. Should they retain their status?

I assure you, HT, it's something we've been discussing for weeks, or even months. Smile No consensus yet but some actions have already been taken.

Where I live, there's a law specifically saying it's legal to eat roadkill... my question... why wouldn't it be?

Does that means that once you squashed that puddle in your sig to death by stepping on into it on the road , you get to eat it?ConfusedTongueWink

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

If I wanted to, yes...

But that's roadkill that's already been digested...

I only eat real, untainted roadkill!
