Of the top 20 progrock studio albums (according to ratings on this site), I only listen to one regularly (JT's Thick as a Brick).

I don't like Genesis, I like some Yes but not too much, I don't like Pink Floyd, I listen to Kansas, and I do not like prog metal (its boring and repetitive.)

Oh and I'm not a musician. Maybe that explains all of the above. Unhappy

Let's see...

1. I don't like VdGG
2. I don't like Pink Floyd
3. I don't have any GG original album
4. I LOVE some poppish albums made by prog bands such as Peter Gabriel 'So', Yes '90125' and 'Big Generator' (in fact I have both on vynil), Genesis 'We Can't Dance', etc...
5. Once I had to sell part of my vynil colection... I loose albums like 'The Steve Howe Album', King Crimson 'Three of a Perfect Pair', Rick Wakeman 'White Rock', Yes 'Yessongs', Mike Oldfield 'Incantations'... (During those years I had buy most of them again, but is not the same)... SHAME ON ME!!!

That's what I remember right now...

Well for me, I dont listen to recordings that are too old cause I like the sounds of newer production.

I do though enjoy VDGG, but I do not like Yes, King Crimson, and a lot of other stuff that are important bands in prog. Confused

Kaz and Witchwood...who DO you like?

As for me...too many essential albums not enjoyed (Close, Pawn) or owed (Octopus, Tales). I could use some more Procol Harum, since I seem to be one of their key defenders (not that it comes up too much).

In my case, what many people would consider a 'prog sin' is my not liking Genesis' "Foxtrot" at all. Another one might be my dislike of Marillion's "Misplaced Childhood" - and, of course, at least to some forum members, the fact I've never, ever been able to get into Dream Theater, in spite of owning six albums by them.

I don't think the 'Canterbury Scene' should be a genre listed on this site.

I don't own a real copy of Opeth or 2 of the 4 King Crimson alubms I have.

I dislike Close to the Edge, its too boring for me. I don't listen to RPI as much as I should.

I listen to Rush too much (if that can be a sin - I'm stopping for a month or so until the new release anyways) and I don't own a real copy of most of the Rush albums I listen to (well I don't own a copy of 5 Rush albums - and those copies are all vinyls, I'm trying to get them all on CD)
