Badfinger "Straight Up".

$50 plus a 12 pack of beer.  At the time, as a teen, that was huge cake.  But the album was completely impossible to find back then.  I later had it signed by Joey Molland and Mike Gibbons, and gave it to a friend when I abandoned vinyl.

I bought a 10 CD anthology of a polish jazz-rock band LABORATORIUM for 250 PLN (85,32 $) having never heard a single note of their music before (I read good reviews)!

Erm, 18 bucks? That's a below average price for music where I live (which is why I don't buy it).

Probably the deluxe edition of Marillion's Marbles. Sure it was a lot of money at around $45, but well worth it. The packaging and artwork is almost as stunning as the music.

I also bought the OOP CD by Tommy Shaw called Girls With Guns, which was his first after leaving Styx. I always loved the LP, but really wanted it for my CD collection. I think it was around $40, as well.

By now, the most expensive albums I ever bought are imported ones, which are around $40 (equal to 13 dollars approximately).

I was finally able to track down a Lightbulb Sun 2 years ago for $45. Why Steven hasn't re-released the album yet I do not know.

I think my most expensive CD purchase was Slayer's Soundtrack to the Apocalypse boxset $60.
