I´m sorry to keep on talkign about this, but I know there is something wrong here. As I write this, Perpetuum Karma has 60 reviews, from which 87% voted 5 stars, but there are only 7 written reviews. This is more than clear, someone is abusing the rating system to get this album that high, and it keeps happening. Today its 60 votes, I think yesterday it was 58, if this keeps like this it will be in the top 10 of albums, with only 7 reviews! It´s already the number one album from 2006 (which by the way, wasn´t it released in 2007?) and number three in the all time 20 top Neo albums list. There is something wrong here, its obvious. Not to say that the same thing is happening with their previous album, Metanoia, also only seven written reviews, but it says it has 40 and has now a 4.40 star rating, when just a day before Perpetuum Karmas release it had around 4.20 or so... c´mon, isnt this a little strange for you? And the same thing happens with their first album, Detras del umbral, 30 reviews, only 4 written, and now it has a rating of 4.30, when it used to be under 4!!!Confused Basically, someone or a group of people are "cheating" so Nexus gets to be in the highest positions possibly. I dont demand anything, but I ask you nicely to study the situation and see what the problem here is and if there is something wrong, please do something about it. I say the best way to solve this would be to make only written reviews valid, but this might be too extreme... thank you, I hope you take notice of this

Well, about another great Argentine band: I reviewed their splendid debut CD but thanks to a non-review one star rating the average has lowered substantiously Unhappy In my opinion this effort is only fueled by pure negative thoughts, very poor Angry You can discuss the album Living Fossils by William Gray but giving it only one star is beyond any good reason so I would suggest to delete this kind of reviews because it's very frustrating to write a decent review and then to notice that one dickhead is allowed to destroy this by giving one star without any review/reason Dead In fact this is a permission to manipulate all reviews on this site by clicking 'one star' on albums you don't like ......Star

Conclusion: I agree with El Bothy, delete every non review rating Clap

Great guysThumbs%20Up Thanks erik, thanks bhikkhu
It seems the problem is already being taken care of, as just know Perpetuum Karma has 37 reviews (still too many, but Im sure the admins are taking this false reviews one by one) and the rating is now 4.38ClapClapClapClapClap Thank you!

When  Iwrite the review, I will possibly be 2-stars.

I find it very dull to my ears, and the musicianship is nothing to write home about. (And I'm from Argentina!)

PS: the non-review ratings should really have minimal impact on the overall rating of an album, and the Nexus thing that is happening is quite fishy.

Whatever these nefarious forces were up to, they got me.  I looked into the album and bought on some of the written reviews and the high rating.  Damn happy I did.  Good stuff.  Easily four stars for me.  Of course, this does not excuse this type of behavior and I certainly do not condone it.

Does it ever occur to people that the album might really be very good and the band has an actual following that happen to take the time to rate their beloved album with five stars, because that's what they think it's worth.

To easily one speaks of rating manupilation everytime an album get's more and higher ratings than you personally would give the album.

I think the chances are those are albums are honestly and truthfully rated, and just because someone who thinks low of the album complains those ratings are all suspect, that is beyond me.

It happens! Many times indeed...

However, when we have a series of 5 stars ratings for the same album , done in the same day and coming from the same country (same of the band), I think we have to investigate. Wouldn't you? Smile

Agree 100% ... if I can't get off my butt and write at least 75 words on what I think of an album I shouldn't be able to rate it. Hence why I have so few reviews and ratings at this stage Wink

It seems this trouble is still going on, and people still think there is something fishy about it... http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=37244

Too bad the Nexus album is getting a bad name through this, when it really is quite good!
