Our Air - 1/17/2007

Under the surface of white outlined blue water,
Sleeping tranquil under the freezing champagne sea foam,
There lie sliced Lilly pads shy of growing taller,
That sink beneath of where frogs seasonally roam.

These pads are surrounded in isolation
Reflecting the nature of the prey.
One day all nature’s rewarded with rarity.
Eventually the air follows the same.

Winters chemically caused,
Advertised like our future.
Winds of change challenge our solution.
As the clear air resides to haze.

Shadows blurred from ocean-mist in mass
prevent the fisher from shining a lighthouse as he casts.
This is really doubt and it pollutes,
And hungry men are full of smoke.

Swampy steam’s contrast, the cold cumulus,
Is replaced by emissions that incinerate.
Air is processed through mechanic industry
And sold in crates as tomorrow’s energy.

Then, a reason for freedom’s real name
Just for something deserved from birth.
Clean air.

Inner Sounds of Self Discovery -Jan 19 2007

The Ice Voice… The Voice of Spring Season… The Timber Voice…

The Ice speaks lonely,
bitter words with miserable,
bellyaching tones that pierce the sickle surrounding.
Frost-bitten tongue, solid frozen in its own somber words.
Crying high pitch ringing winds,
Singing moaning beacons of hope reaching angry in their blizzard storm.

The Ice speaks soundless
Dieing slowly in the Spring
Glowing in the darkest of heat.

Rise!
Good seasons spread in a bud.
A resulting progress growing.
Growth stimulates benign decline.
All about.
Look around.
Hope spreads deep inside.
The voice is ephemeral, is a globalizing epiphany.
Flowing freely, a jubilating symphony.
The Spring Season speaks vivid sound.
Yours.

Spring warmth all forward reach wash
Fasting from faint caring.
The flowers are the forests
leaning to the sun eye staring.

Hidden in the timbers, too thick to see are their wise mountains.
The voice of the Timber remains heard through the
Remake of another brother when
Limping at his right sends Crackling screams,
Snapping left sound into mainstream waves.
Crying agony from his base.
The voice hints compassion.
A Voice of Strength.

The Timber Voice remembers the unity.
Strength remains constant, even in too thick to see.

Did they look at the blinding giver?
Did they speak honest even in the end?
When did their walls hold the revolting river?

A long while ago I wrote some poetry, though now it's translated into lyrics--I never write just poetry anymore. I'm much more into writing short stories, which I do very often. But, here are two old poems:

1.
A careful thing the mind and soul
When riddled with the faults of man
While thoughts provoked may dig deep holes
We run through mem'ries deep in sand
Our pleasures bought but with one hand
To fuel a moment with desires
And yet a mind that's just begun
Conceives of such ideas as fire
A soundly man may still inquire
And practice loudly making song
While lonely men sit and conspire
To count the days and mark them gone
The mind's a power which contends
That he who loses still may win

3.
Sometimes we need a middleman
To sit among us as we speak
To kindly hold up his right hand
Reminding us of our beliefs
A night of silence, still and bleak
That gives way to a foggy day
If he perchance could intervene
And bring a torch to light the way
And then the fateful may would say:
"Without me you would not survive."
The sun exhausts its final ray
Humanity lies down to die
These helpful men still run amidst
Granting our every unsaid wish

...nothing too great, they're about 2 years old now. i just thought they were interesting. there are 10 in all (if you were wondering where "2" is), but these 2 were the only ones i could find in my notebook. Sad really =(

I'm a reasonable man, get off my case

so shall i beat the drum
it reverberates and vibrates
i can still hear it
i hullucinate it

and chaos awakes
as the solar wind bakes
your tender skin
so fresh and pure

and what lies do i spread
as you lacerate my head
searching for the truth
in my devious foolish junk

and deep beneath the sea
lies treasure, with to buy pleasure
but to drown in it's search
to suffer in your own pool of lust

listening ever so closely
to the rythym of the nervous system
trying to move
to a cerebal beat

I know what you are thinking.

You do not know what I am thinking.

Because of one particular thing that I know that you don't, I am happier than you are.

Fear, or Laughter?

Shiver Down My Spine:

Only Some for Who you Truly Care
As soon As they Come, They Vanish into Air
She Stares In My Eyes Through The Night
Some Sort of Window To My Right
Only One Who Knows What I Can Do
So She'll Keep Pushing Me Right On Through
I need to Last to Make the People Know
The Pain It Takes to make the World Still Go
Push me As I Say "Sorrow Will you please let Me Be
finally from street bounds I'll be Free

She Stares In My Eyes Through the Night
Some Sort of Window To My Right
And all the Sudden No One's Around
She's Left You
And In The Last Moments before I'm found
Well Heaven Still Exceeds Me
The essence of Earth, the Last I See
The Howling Winds, The Moving Sea
And all The Sudden Every thing's In Line
A new sort of shiver down my Spine

When I gaze at the sun
I wonder aloud
Who is it that keeps the light on?
Can't they see I'm trying to sleep?

I play all day and have a lot of fun
I love what I do and am proud
Turn off the lamp when the day is done
Watch the shadows as they creep

Soon the mind begins to contort
Spinning, swirling, spiraling out of control
No beginning no end to this madness
The sun laughs at me with glee
It sees my misery and yet

The warmth fills me with new hope
A cloud passes over the light disappears
What am I to do?
The sun comes back out again

Venus

An ode to truth.

Arriving at Venus,

Acid rain tasted sweet to the buds.

Salivating sensations are immigrant in rush.

Commit fossils are clustered on the tan surface.

A golf ball in complexion.

Just be prepared for a cat scan.

Your worries, the recipe for day.

Don’t fear it, walls will always end in decay.

Messages from atop the cerebral stalk

Madly scream, “Help me, I’m here, inside! I just want to talk.”

Lights reach past you, falling down the slanted slide.

The feeling resembles the fear to die.

Individual voice has just been found.

Now I stare down at a new planet cloud.

Gravity causes this motionless to spin,

Setting my new planet in orbit, completely sovereign.

A nervous system has been born, then builds limbs.

This is actually my new brain in revolution.

Thinking begins.

As for the leaders of earth, their thought is corrupt,

Flaws are found inside the soul and are forced locked shut.

This is because thought is taught to be forbidden sin.

The laws of God feel like gravity to them.

As a planet, the black hole’s mother is my mind.

The black spirit of greed wants more energy to eat,

I’d recommend him Earth

but they chose eternal sleep this time.

A moon is all they have for a planet anymore.

Then promptly keeping Earthlings in check

Is a dark intercom's storm in the air.

“Attention!

 Attention!!

Earth citizens, we are pleased to inform,

By declaration of our global magistrate,

The New Zeus Dominion is now in progress of depleting Titan from mineral ore.”

Earth sweats oil and works for dust.

My Venus worships rain.
Man's workers are promoted to rust.
We the people are to blame.

The problem is dependency
Metal instead of seed.

I know, such a tragedy. The spirit of this thread will remain as long as we express our soul, so no worries. Smile

Here are lyrics for a song I'm sure we all love.

The Fish (Schinderia Praematurus)- Jan 29 2007

Ominous black skies blind the creeping tide.

Goliaths bellow piercing, high pitched cries.

Shining scales cast blind light like a glass mirror

As the hunter’s illuminating armor glimmers.

Hook-prey prowls the egg enemy.

The eye of the storm watched the angry sea.

Schinderia Praematurus

Sunken Amazon.

Nautical cosmos.

Waterfall green: the sun.

Rising water whiplashes

after liquid shrapnel crashes downward.

Spectrums glow like lantern-wastes,

Free to paddle back and forth

through faded shades of jade.

Echo,

Reflect,

Sunlight bends left,

flowing far from his scales.

Sword

Blood colored.

Scavenging, lurking

in the murky floor.

He sets sail.

Nomadic piranha

Feast on fish in a barrel

Ritual hunters

Hide in the starboard shadow

The sea finds lantern perch stuck in a pond.

Territory of the corral barrier

Is treasure buried in ocean water

Remembered only in ceremonial song.

We got to pump the stuff to make us tough
from the heart
Its astart
What we need is awareness we cant get careless
Mental self defensive fitness
Make everybody see in order to fight the powers that be

I just re-read some of the titles of my poems and they're better than the poems themselves. LOL

Instructions are in brackets.

Two-part intervention for half a flute

Part one: The dance of the almost objects

CryDeadCryCryDeadCryDeadCryCryDeadAngryCryDeadCryCryDeadCryDeadCryCry
DeadCryCryDeadCryDeadCryCryDeadAngryCryDeadCryCryoh I can't be bothered anymore

(place three dissonant chords here. Ideally, they should be quiet enough that nobody hears them, lest the sniper's vantage point be given away)

Don't quietly leave
Simply leave!!
Whether loud or quiet
What's important is that you cease to be there.

Part two: aaaaaaaaaa

I thought

(throw a xylophone at somebody)

I thought
I thought I had that thing

(repeat as many times as there are atoms in the sun, to the nearest kilometre)

This is a poem
Or rather, it will be
If I ever bother to finish it.

The Milkman - February 2, 2007

None other than the Milkman

Could disappear so easily

Not even in the nighttime

Sends his special deliveries

Another in the sack…

Empty bottle on the rack….

Just the Milkman stoppin by

See him leave the scene o’ the crime

White sleeves rolled up, loosened black tie

In the van and waving goodbye

Another in the sack…

Empty bottle on the rack….

What you say to just one glass

After that you’ll quickly ask.

The milk has got you too choked up

And the wine has got you far too drunk

Another in the sack…

Empty bottle on the rack….

To keep it alive in unsticky days...

State Of The Union

Monkey-boy stood up before the crowd

To make small talk of American laws

For the good old, well-earned prize

Five full seconds of Democrats’ applause

There is a Time We Call the Present

Enemy and ally, locked together in a room

To talk of preventing future death and doom

As rockets flying around them go boom, boom, boom

A Little White Lie

God asks of us all as we pass through his gates

“Do I exist?” – words as plain as he isn’t real

And please look for the heart that lets you say yes

In consideration of how the truth might make him feel
