Really strange, I have more than 80 versions of the song that was N° 1 the day I was born in: August 2, 1964 and never knew why. The House of the Rising Sun......The Animals.
It's the only song I have so many versions and just discovered it was N°1 that day.

In England:
Bye Bye Baby - The Bay City Rollers (covered by Elton John if I'm not mistaken)
In America:
my favourite artist
Philadelphia Freedom - Elton john
in Holland (not an option on the site)
I don't know of a relation to Elton John, but there has to be one.
for the dutch

that was a fu7n song of some boys from the hood, actually was about passing the marihuana, but the boys were 13 or 14 orso, so they were forced to change the lyrics to a less explicit contend.

Horrifyingly, the Monkees 'I'm a Believer', and in the UK it was some Tom Jones ditty.

I remember both of those horrible songs, Rico!
We're living in a box, living in a cardboard box... (not the real lyrics) |

Well, yes, they had some great songwriters working for them and they did in fact play certain instruments. My favorites of theirs were the lesser known stuff like 'She' and 'You Just May Be the One',
