Indeed, I've sorted it now. I was using far too many Firebats, that was where the problem lyed. I needed their long-range, rather than the short-range of the Firebats. I also sent in the Wraith's cloaked against the Sunken Colonies, before sending the Marines in against the Spore colonies. It was easy then.
Mission 7 seems much easier. I love Planescape: Torment. I've got the updated version with the bugs ironed out (not an official update though). Superb game and one I still haven't completed. And yes, with BG, I meant TotSC. I never completed the expansion, but I watched my friend do so (as it was his game), so I know the game pretty well. I've never played BG 2:Throne of Bhaal or the two Icewind Dale games. Edited by Geck0 - October 26 2006 at 14:46 |

Icewind Dale 2 is very good (never played the first) a bit short but the storyline is very good.

Well, I doubt I can buy either game now, so I may have to resort to some other way... oops!
I think I will try and get a copy of BG2 first, as apparently Viconia is a good character and the terrible Jaheira dies. Go for eyes Boo, go for the eyes! |

I was a tad disappointed with Neverwinter Nights (well, except the Engine, some of the fan-made Quests and suchlike are excellent).
I've heard disappointing things about both Icewind Dale 1 & 2. |

My computer blew a fuse or something like that because I forgot to convert the volts. Is this easy to fix?

Oh and with Icewind Dale 1, I was disappointed. It was, to me, very different to the Baldur's Gates.

Viconia will only become good in Throne of Bhaal. Jaheira doesn't die unless you let her.
NWN is fun if you multiplay, but frankly, the engine, AI, DnD implementation, all three of the single player campaign and the way it's handled system-resource wise suxx0rz badly. Hence, I recommend multiplayer custom made dungeon romps like Eye of the Beholder module released. http://nwvault.ign.com/ You can find it there somewhere in the Hall of Fame.
They use the same engine as BG. The big difference Icewind Dale is really only about the hack&slash cause that's all you will be doing throughout the entire game. IW2 is slightly more fun because of 3.0 DnD rules implementation, which lends itself for more character variation. Also, as a sidenote the music of both games is really really great. I loved the music on IW1 in the elven stronghold outside. Still doesn't beat Daggerfall's proggy music though. (or Doom's for that matter) |

I quite like Diablo 2's soundtrack, but Sacred +plus+ has a proggy soundtrack also.
Thanks for the PM by the way, much appreciated. I am indeed on that level, it's not too bad, I have 5 or 6 seige tanks at the moment and 12 Wraiths, so I should be fine. I've got one SCV as well. Hmmm, well maybe I won't like IW so much then... must try Daggerfall too, actually. I like AD&D games the best. As I said, Planescape: Torment rocks. There was planned a Planescape hakpak for Neverwinter Nights, but I think it's gone defunct. NW2 is planned soon... |

Is Diablo 1 and 2 a good game? Never actually got around to trying it.

If you can cope with a linear style, yes. It can get a bit tedious though, because you have to play the same game through 3 times and even then, you have to play a lot ot even get near level 99. I've never actually completed all three levels of the game, only the one.

Its all right, but I think you and Mr Burns are on about different games then, his profile says he's from Norway so he's probably talking about a REAL football manager game. |

I actually recommend the game NOX over both Diablos. It looks better, plays better and felt way less tedious than Diablo. I absolutely hate monsters that summon. |

I'm all for "We Heart Katamari" right now. Great soundtrack, visuals, gameplay, quirkiness.
I love it |

Sacred +Plus+ is a little known game made by a German company and it's pretty good too. I'm still ploughing my way through it, but I'm having a break from it for now.
One thing I really like is that you can ride horses, something which Neverwinter Nights and Diablo never had. I gather NW2 will have this feature though. |

Me and a few mates play Red Faction 2 most weekends. Three player deathmatch is brilliant, in a 15 minute match we each regularly get over 100 kills, great fun.

Final Fantasy XII is coming out in 3 days, I can't wait!! It seems so long since X was released...
Lately I've been playing a lot of Oblivion and some Perfect Dark Zero (I got both cheap on eBay ) |
