When one views reviewers profiles in the archive zone, the listing method "alphabetical" brings the albums in that order correctly, but wouldn't the list be more interesting, if the bands would be listed alphabetically, and their albums in release year order, like in the PA artist entries? Big smile You could see easily which period of some band of long career is fond to reviewer f.ex.

You mean chronologically? That is a good idea.

I think that's a good idea.

In addition, for just a pure alphabetical sort, initial articles should be removed from the sort. For example, albums that begin with "The" or "An" or "A" or "La" or "Die." This would probably require some programming so that the German "Die" does not conflict with the English "Die" which is not an initial article. This way "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" will sort with the P's instead of the T's, etc.

There are quite a few of them as can be seen here at the Library of Congress' MARC Standards page: http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bdapp-e.html

For the purposes of this site, only the most common ones would need to be addressed, unless of course, for those interested, the complete list could be programmed in.
