Andy, I plan on getting a CD rack like that, where did you get it? Here's my VdGG collection (with some Hammill thrown in): I'm going to try and take my collection soon. My mother is going to buy me a CD rack as a late birthday present and I specified one like Sleeper has, it should fit my whole collection in, but I'm not sure.

I dunno...while I like the whole nice cd shelf thing, nothing looks more collector-like than having your collection crammed onto bookshelves...

I knew it! Argos is where I saw mine too! How many does yours hold?
I have an old wooden one from Virgin Megastore, but it's tiny and I have a few others too, but they're useless.

Maybe, but the alternative is to have them lying about on the floor, which is a big no-no for me as they will get troden on. Any CD's in special packing never fits into those metal racks with slots in for the disc, specialy Tools 10,000 Days.

Its going to hold about 100 CD's, give or take it depends on the packaging.

I have that same problem, Andy. I have a few double jewel cased albums (Allman Bros. Band and Gov't Mule) and a Collectors Edition of a Gov't Mule album as well and they never fit anywhere other than those wooden cases.
I have a plastic rack and all I have to do is breathe on it and all the CDs fall out!
I've also now got a lot more digipak albums, as well as two vinyl-like CD boxes as well.

What size is yours? They sell different sizes it seems. My collection is over 100, but as most of my CDs aren't stored, it's better than nothing at all.

Same problem here, The Wall, PULSE, The Sky Moves Sideways, Back In The World Of Adventure/ Retropolis double pack and Home plus New York Suite double are all to big to fit in and Digi packs are too small for those racks.

I got the smallest and cheapest one that was made of wood, and that was 4 months ago and I've got nearly twice as many CD's since then . Its about 1.5 meters high and the shelf space is adjustable to take DVD's.

I think I was looking at the next size up from yours, as I have more CDs. I'm sure I won't be able to fit them all in, but if I can at least put particular sub-genres, or band discographies in, that's a start.
I'll finally be able to put my VdGG and Hammill together and not in a pile (as they currently are).

Not really, actually. All of my CDs are on the mp3 player and the speaker system is very good (even if it is a bit small.)

I've lost the digital camera so I can't take any photos; my room is a BIG mess of papers, CDs, Guitars and Amp-among other things. the guitars, bed and amp alone take up most of the floor space, so everything is thrown around. I'll take a picture when I find the camera.
