Topic: A Prog Metal Fan joins the forums Posted: August 07 2006 at 19:19 |
I send greetings unto all of you, lovers of prog and patrons of this wonderful site. After using this site to discover some of the greatest music known to man, I thought I would give back to it with reviews and commentary on my favorite form of prog, prog metal. I want to thank those who developed this site and thank all of you for developing its commentary on music to help all enjoy it.
If anyone wants to talk prog, now, some of my fave bands are Symphony X, Warmen, Liquid Tension Experiment, and Mahavishnu Orchestra (I know, prog jazz fusion, but their sound is so awesome).

beware of the horsemen of the symphonic team..... I hear they
like to convert new prog metal posters to the beauty and power of
symphonic prog... or... hunt them down like wild game when that fails..
though.. once you get past the bombastic, pretentious veneer... they're
a great group! Welcome aboard... be sure to check out some Rock
Progressivo Italiano... you'll never listen to Prog Metal with a
straight face again....

it's nice that there's another prog metal fan here. just be careful, it seems that questioning the progressive-ness of prog metal is quite a trend on this site.
