Thanks for all the info guys, I slept easier last night knowing that it was Focus. I guess that TV programme must be where I remember the song from as I don't have any Focus albums, although I don't remember watching it.

Good episode tonight, this is turning into an excellent series. Some good "one legged" jokes, a mention of Ian Anderson's flute and cod piece and it ended with Hocus Pocus!

I forgot to mention "wasps are b*****ds". Very funny bit, and strangely appropriate as I had to pay someone to remove a wasps nest from under my house yesterday (not Steve Coogan).

I have an irrational fear of wasps. If one flys in the room I practically hyperventilate. Dunno why, I've been stung before a few times, but I was hardly traumatised by the experience...
Just thought I'd share that with you...

It's just getting better. The Kashmir eulogy was classic (although the
wife would have been royally pissed off, since you do NOT make jokes
about The Best Song in the World in her presence).
And, yeah "Wasps are b.astards" was excellent.

It also has 'House of the King' by Focus and parts of 'Hocus Pocus' by Focus.

Still getting better - Monday's episode included him describing the mood change of a squirrel when it's consumed too much cocaine & getting misty eyed over the memory of his ex-wife throwing his Mellotron from Clifton Suspension Bridge - although...
1 - There is no way you can get a Mellotron in the boot of a 1970s Triumph Toledo.
2 - She'd have to be built like a brick outhouse to "throw" a Mellotron anywhere.
Sorry, just me being pedantic

Yeah, the Mellotron story was great. I also liked the bit when the boyfriend thought he was getting the Richie Blackmore guitar as a gift, but ended up getting a wooden cheetah.

Yeah, sorry. I just don't think any kids into a two-digit age will have their minds warped by hearing the line in question.

I suppose that one or two of you might have sussed that I actually put up the link as it's better to hear the line as a joke, delivered by Coogan, rather than read it as an unfunny crudity in a post; context is all.........
.........but, for those who need the stimulation, here are a few rude words I made earlier: bum, willy, tit.........and there's plenty more where they came from.........
