Painful? I got my foot epilated once. Not entirely by choice, mind you. It's also abominably painful to shave a beard without trimming it first... a bit of a bugger when one's in a hurry and has no trimmer!

Curiosity once caused me to pick up a sheet of my wife's leg waxing kit, and proceed to use it on my shin...
Things to bear in mind:
1 - Ladies have fine, short, girly hairs on their legs.
2 - 40 year old blokes have long, tough, wiry hairs on their legs...
AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
Not recommended, unless you (a) love pain, or (b) love to see your wife in uncontrollable hysterics...

I'm sure it's compulsory for progheads to have beards (check your instruction booklets).
Maybe, on reflection, one might make an exception for the female of the species...

Yeah those blades are a complete ripoff. A lot of places keep them behind the counter these days too...wonder why 
With the price of blades these days I might start using the straight
razor I bought a few years ago. Got a great price on it at a
close-out sale, but never really got into using it.

Definately close. In the shower is best. My neck itches like crazy if I don't shave. I can't stand it. I still have a Lenin Goatee, though. Suits me well, I think.
