I play PC games exclusively, with the PC connected to a 32" LCD TV. It's much more powerful than the XBox 360, and I don't see where the point is in having such a console compared to buying a PC with a good graphics card - which costs about as much as the XBox.

I am satisfied with my PS2 myself, although the only reason for that is a lack of money and satisfaction with the chosen few games I play frequently and that never get old.

Like I have said in my Video and PC Game thread,I dislike sitting at the computer and playing games. I love console gaming, nothing compares to kicking back in the easy chair and playing on my widescreen plasma tv.

I completely agree. However, since you could connect to a TV without much problem, it's all about the choice of games, I'm afraid!

lol ... I am doing just that. My PC is in my livingroom, connected to the TV (32" 1360x768 (16:9)), and I'm sitting in a comfy chair. Actually - even while I'm typing this.

Hey Stonie, how do you find the controllers for the 360, I've used them once and found too many buttons in a silly layout, plus I think the controllers too big to be particuly comfortable on an extended gaming spree. |
Actually, I think the 360 controller is perfect. I haven't played the PS2 in a long while, but I found the controller to be too small.

Like the esteemed enRegalia, I'm writing this on a PC in the living room (VGA out to a DLP HDTV) and I haven't turned on either my PS2 or Xbox in months. The two games I wanted the 360 for ended up coming out on PC anyway (Oblivion and Condemned) and honestly the upcoming lineup doesn't make me regret not having a 360. The resolution and performance is better, especially after tweaking (and I ain't talking about meth ). Right now the only drawback to my living room PC is that I can't find a decent wireless solution...the keyboards are no problem but I have yet to find a decent wireless mouse; I'm using a wired trackball on the sofa armrest.

It's nice to see that someone else is using a computer in the living room ... I know that I'm one of VERY FEW people who do this, at least in Germany.
But this will become a very common thing in the next few years ... even this year the first PC graphics cards which support HDMI will be released, so you can play HD-DVD content on the computer. You'll be able to do everything with just one system - Games, TV, Video, Audio, Communication.
