Noted
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Nice photos Simon, thanks.

You did a great job with photoshop - you made that lapdancing club look just like an Indian restaurant!

I think we really should have a North American PA meeting. I'm not doing anything after my finals (and I'm sure I'll have some time off this semester), although I may try to get a job at a record store. I drive six hours to get home anyways, so a trip wouldn't really be a big deal to me. I'm near the middle of the U.S. now. I really think this would be a good idea, in all seriousness....although it would be difficult to plan....

Yea, good Idea. How about somewhere in New England?

Hey, that's where I am!

I'm all for it.

Maybe we'll schedule a gig for that night, and you all can come heckle us!

Now there's a thought -

I can imagine the scene had I attended...

I walk into a pub in west London, slightly nervous about meeting a bunch of people I know only from a website...

I glance around - now, which group of people look most like a gathering of prog-rock fans? Then I hear:

"Isn't that Jim Garten from the forum...?"

I look round and see:

Oh

My

God....

++++backs out of pub slowly & as soon as he reaches the door, runs like buggery+++

That is one maniacal grin, matey!

Looks like you had a great night guys; on the next curry night, I sincerely hope to add my own ugly mug to the gathering.

Thanks guys, it's a pleasure to see you all having fun and to read your funny comments.

It seems that the first (UK) convention was a success, now we'll see if the first european one will be as good.

Who said that Internet isolates people?

If you think that's bad, you should have seen the looks of disgust on the other diners faces when they realised what we were talking about. It was wonderful...

I'm only sorry I can't make the meeting on the 18th. It was wonderful exchanging stories, anecdotes, opinions, etc, face to face.

The evening just wasn't long enough.

Have a great time in the Hague.

The most embarrassing time was when we got up, dreesed up  to go and the whole place went incredibly quiet!!! There were seven tables open that night but ours amounted for 99.9% of the raucus in there!

I really mean it, this bloody silence as we left was almost shameful

Damn stuck up londoners not being able to have a good time!!! Pubs closing around 12 too!!!
