The chillis are ripe,

The beer is warming up,

The toilet rolls are in the fridge

Have a good one.

Ok, so if anyone sees this lovely chap:
wandering around looking hopelessly lost, please shout "Tom!" or some such in my general direction I'm leaving for the station now, armed with a photo and map of the pub and a map of London

Well, I'm home temporarily before my friends get out of the union and I can party it down, so I'll say some short words: it was great meeting everyone and thanks especially to Syzygy (unless I mixed up everyone with their forum names ) for getting me to the right station and on the right train to get home!

I should think everyone is asleep or not in a fit state to write a review. I'll leave it up to you which of those categories you place me in

"Darling, I'm going out for a curry next week"

"Who with?"

"Oh, just a bunch of guys from this prog music web site"

"Have you met them before then?"

"No"

"So they could all be psycho axe-murderers then"

"Er..."

(thinks)
They could all be geeks!!!

Happily there were no axe-murderers or geeks.
I arrived at 5:45-ish and managed to walk right past Trouserpress' copy of Octopus on the table by the door. After shelling out £3.10 for a pint of Guiness, I spotted Blacksword and TP deep in conversation and so wandered over. We were soon joined by sigod (and Nursery Cryme), richardh, hugues and his girlfriend, phil and syzygy and made our way to the curry house, where goose arrived shortly afterwards.
A great evening was had by all - good beer, conversation about prog and curry, what more can you want (apart from lapdancers)? I remember the deep conversations about who is prog and who isn't - ELO, Purple, Queen, Mars Volta - they were all mentioned.
I left just before 11 and most people were still there, so who knows what happened after that?
We just have to wait for sigod to put the photos on here.

"Darling, some of the guys are getting together in Holland..."

Had a great time, was sorry time slipped so quickly, the Tikka Masala was correct, the laggers plentiful, the laughter also, the walk back to the hotel rather short.

I hjate them pubs for clearing us  so soon , though!

And the conversations were very progressive. ended up with G G and VDGG as last nightcaps subjects.

content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

A thoroughly splendid evening, and I hope that there are many more to come.

Huge thanks to Simon for doing all the legwork and making it happen, and to everyone else for good company and intelligent conversation. When we spilled out of the curry house we took to the streets - the least intimidating gang in West London!
