^ Yes certainly the graphics card is really the only thing that need to be up to date very often...and also PC's are much more versitaile than consoles when it comes to gaming even as you can make your own maps and mods and stuff like that...also you can't patch a console game or modify it and that can get a bit irritating... |

It's not as bad as you describe it. A new computer every 2 years, and a new graphics card every year, that's enough. And if you sell the old graphics card on Ebay and manage to give away the old computer to friends or parent (who aren't into gaming), you can maintain a decent system for gaming for less than $500/year. It's more expensive than consoles, but not as expensive as you describe it. |

^You have to remember Lindsay that for a consol to be viable it has to have a shelf life of at least a few years, and not everyone can afford a top of the range computer every three months, I certanly cant and the most graphically astounding games of the last couple of years wont work on my PC as the card is cheap 'n' nasty. |

^ Consoles have dreadful graphics...the worst thing is that they force pc games to get dragged into the pit too |

My next purchase will be the popular game Phoenix Wright: Attorney at Law for the Nintendo DS, what is it with the Japanese and their painfully sane games? |

I kind of a want a game system again. Growing up, I had a nes, snes, genesis, turbo grafx 16, and n64. Maybe I'll get one after I get a break from school, because then I could actually have time to play it. I'm thinking of a gamecube, cuz I can get one used for $60 at gamestop...

I've recently been playing Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment and Sacred +Plus+ for the PC.
I've played most SNES RPGs, but what formats are the Dragon Warrior games? I've got a PS1 on loan and have FFVII and FF9 which are great games. I'd love to play Xenogears, but as it's not my PS1 and I don't have much time to play it, then I guess I'll never get a chance too. I absolutely love the Lufia series on SNES, very underrated games. I do have Lufia to play on Gameboy Advance still..., but the GBA is just not a SNES! The retroness of the SNES is the bit I like and who can't resist some Nubuo Uematsu music? Oh and is it me, or does it sound like Par Lindh Project have been playing old SNES RPGs..., just listen to "Baroque Impression No. 1" in the middle section; trust me! Edited by Geck0 |

Dragon Warrior made some class RPGs, fans in japan went nuts over Dragon Warrior VII. Xenogears was a class RPG, everyone loves it. I think the best new RPGs on the market are the Shadow Hearts games from Midway. I really loved Shadow Hearts on PS2 and the sequel was a class game as well. I wish i could have played from of Koudelka featured on the original Playstation. |
