to say IMO after every single comment that might be considered remotely controversial in the slightest? I mean, does anyone really think about what "IMO" stands for or has it just become a meaningless three-letter abbreviation add-on like LOL and WTF? It kind of annoys me when people go "I don't like this album. That's IMHO, of course." Umm, well... no sh*t? I KNOW it's your opinion. Who else's would it be? I don't know about you guys, and maybe the world turned upside down while I wasn't watching, but usually when I'm discussing matters of personal taste I don't borrow other people's opinions so I can have a nice chat.

Seriously, I KNOW it's your opinion. You don't have to remind me every 3 seconds.

End of rant.

The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe.

Your post is right on the money IMO.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

It's called adding emphasis.

I do understand your point, but these abbreviations are far from meaningless; in fact, I believe that they are necessary to add personal depth and shades of meaning to essentially neutral written dialogue without bogging the discussion down with needless wordiness (uh, as I usually do...).

IMO specifically is quite important when talking about things like music...it annoys me much more when people state opinion as fact, so I have absolutely no problem with overuse of things like IMO; in fact, I think if anything it should be used more around here.

but that's just...uh...my opinion...

Weakminded fools who think that everyone can have their opinion because 'everything is good' or 'it's just/all a matter of taste'.

Epic.

just bare in mind that its the weak-minded fools who make up the majority of this forum, and provide the gelling agent, with which to keep the less tolerant on board.....without the IMHO adherants, the site would disintegrate in a short time....

I'm getting the idea that JrKASperov is dogmatically opposed to relativism.

Don't ever forget the IMO when discussing a band you don't like, or you'll feel MikeEnRegalia's wrath!

I have nearly 1600, but none of them would be stable enough to lean on.....
