Personally I have no idea if my gayness is something learned or genetic. Quite frankly, I REALLY don't care. As far as Nambla goes...they are despicable...and the fact that they are allowed to march in gay parades is the very reason I have never attended one of those "This gives me a chance to behave excessively lewd" fests.

kudos to you gdub and your logical attitude toward this....most gay men i have met would have not exhibited your tolerance in this discussion, and would never speak out against their own....those like you are the reason i care about how my words are taken....i mean yu no disrespect....others i would thro that out the window as it seems pointless to discuss anything with them unless you are saying what they want to hear...thanks for remaining objective when you are the subject , that takes a lot of ...."balls" no pun intended, lol

All this rambling and fractured argument.
Hopelevre-have you got something you wish to announce to the forum?
Dont be scared-we are very understanding on here.......
Could we possibly have our first coming-out-of-the-closet event??

All this naughty talk has got me hot. I can't decide whether I want to deflower a child or sodomize a pygmy chimpanzee.

I read you well that this camp homosexuality is the answer to empathy towards them , but provoking the conservateurs is not intelligent. Remember that the vast majority is still hetero, conservateur and relatively tolerant so that those laws protecting the gays were made.
But provocation can take away the tolerance of the vast majority. Laws are made and they can be undone. I would say that gays should thank the majority for better conditions to live their chosen lifestyles other than by stupid provocation, assertive gayness and avoid such parade as Gay Pride.

Hmm,but surely that is a cliche too.I mean for a 50 year old black man,the boyz in the hood persona must seem as alien and uncomfortable a sterotype to him as camp gayness does to Gdub.

point taken...but stereotypes are exaggerated because they represent something real that is in danger of being lost when a group is assimilated and homogenized. I was just making the point that it may be condescending to think that you should be thankful for being allowed to remain true to yourself.

I am gay, and I am Christian. I don't see why the two should be
mutually exclusive, and I *do* study the Bible and understand its
teachings. I also understand that what is preached in churches
today does not necessarily reflect the teachings of the Bible.
Before one uses the Bible or Christianity as a weapon against
homosexuality, I advise them to first understand the context of
Leviticus, and to then read first and second Kings, and first and
second Samual, and observe the nature of the relationship between David
and Jonathan, and to understand why Jonathan was not allowed to be the
successor to his father, Saul, yet David was.

Totally omitting the fact that God created woman for man. Not man for
man or woman for woman. And that a lasting relationship with sex, which belongs in
marriage, as is stated all over the place, must be when two persons
become of one flesh. That is one of the most important parts of the
relationship according to the Bible, making it impossible for any other
than the man and the wife to be in a relationship.
I'm not using this as a weapon against homosexuality, because of an
alleged hatred for them if you do not approve homosexuality. I preach
this because I wish for people that they come true with the Lord, to
bask in His Spirit every day, and to live a healthy fulfilling
relationship with a partner and the Lord. If you still want to have a
homosexual relationship, fine, your choice, but it is not in
accordance to the Scripture.

Yes...but a loveable pain in the ass.
I was reading about Dante's Infernal...he describes hell as having 9 layers. The lower the layer the more you get tormented for your sins. He had placed homosexuals and people who commit suicide into the 9th layer(subject to suffer Satan's greatest torments while the murderers were on the 8th. Apparently murderers aren't the dregs and scourge of humanity...it is the gays.
Another fine analysis from a "loving" christian!
|
That was Dante's view not Christianity's view. Even so, I am a Christian and the church has a stand reagrding gays. While still beaibg a Christian, my view is completely different. I accept homosexuals as I hope that homosexuals accept hetrosexuals. You don't mess with me and I don't mess with you kind of situation - Live and let Live

A lovely topic, this one. For your information:
- I'm gay, and I'm not proud of it, just as I'm not proud of
having brown hair, for example. Most of my friends are straight,
there's been years since the last time I entered a gay bar, I detest
camp and haven't been in a "gay pride" march in all my life. However, I
was involved in gay pride associations back in my college days. Why?
Because of the existence of narrow - minded bigots like some forum
members I won't mention here.
- My favorite insult when I address another man (gay or straight)
isn't "bitch". I'd rather use the good ol' "son of a bitch" or, in my
mother tongue, "hijo de puta". In my hometown (small, provincial and
conservative) I got beaten up a couple of times as a result of the
worst idea of all my life: coming out. Fortunately, I had King Crimson.
Playing "Red" at full volume after being kicked and robbed by two sons
of a bitch (former friends) that screamed "faggot!" was a good way to
recover self esteem. My two best friends (a boy and a girl) had similar
experiences when they realised they just couldn't hide it anymore.
We're still here, alive and kicking, mainly due to music, prog or not.
- Thus, the only thing I can say to that pack of homophobic
wolves gdub411 has released is this: shut up, please, and don't spread
your prejudices. At least, not in public. I haven't read such a long
list of stereotypes, dogma and hate stuff in a really long time. Since
we prog fans are treated like dinosaur - worshipping dorks (that's a
prejudice, too!) by the rest of the music community, I thought the
crowd would be a little more respectful with this issue.I'm sorry to see it isn't true.
- One final thing: Threefates, you're the one and only ELP fan in this world I respect and admire . Your sons are really, really lucky men.

Well, we believe we were created for each other. But then we are not of the Christian but of a "pagan" faith.

A gay friend once asked me this question: why did God create women? She was created for the men who do not have the luck of being gay!!!!! Mmmmmmh , the nerves on this guy!!
More seriously , forget this sh*t about one created before the other! How could a male or a female exist before the other. A little like the chicken or the egg!!!!!
