Thanks for your comments and the information Big smile

I can see some chance for Black Mamba (not very metal IMO, but they have prog elements)
but Kalinka don't hold much chance here as their only EP shows no real prog tendencies

Both quite interesting though, I will be following the former for suggestion, thanks

Black Mamba can be heard on Bandcamp they are an instrumental (prog?) metal band, not the best I've heard, but "Therapillusion" is not bad either for a debut album.

Kalinka have only ever released an EP, which can be downloaded from Jamendo, "Spitikes Cassettes" It only has 4 tracks, but I really like the 4 they have produced, and I think they have promise, I would really like to see a full album released at some point.

Your radio station is really good, btw, and the list of Greek Prog artists is a good reference point for anyone wanting to explore the Greek rock/prog rock scene Smile

^ Peloma Bokiou have been passed on to the Admins, suggested for prog-related, but I don't hold my breath as only few bands are added to this category.

Thanassis Papakonstantinou IMO could not be considered "prog" but I agree that he has released some excellent albums, very original and with a lot of experimentation. However, I have not paid too much attention at his recent ones, will have a listen. Not aware of Black Mamba or Kalinka, but if you have some samples, have a go Big smile. Tournas' single prog album could not get him here I think...

I like Morka, and "There Was a Time..." is a really good album. On a similar vein, I also like Poll and some of Kostas Tournas's earlier stuff, including his Prog album Aperanta Chorafia. Thanassis Papakonstantinou also has a couple of excellent albums, particularly his more recent ones with progressive and experimental elements, but I'm not sure they would be considered prog... what do you think? A couple of other possible suggestions would be Peloma Bokiou, Black Mamba or Kalinka - I would suggest Kalinka but as far as I know they have only released one EP, they were supposed to be releasing a full album but that hasn't happened yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. Nice music but with the exception of ''Avenue Winter'' (video 3, approx. 4 -> 9.30 minutes) it sounds like West Coast psychedelic pop / folk to me. I suppose you could ask the Crossover Team for their thoughts.

OK my discoveries continue but here we have to do with very rare stuff...

Morka from Greece, two singles back in the 70s and then their demo album was finally released in 1997 it seems
Full album in youtube in 4 parts

See if this info is enough

From prognotfrog.blogspot

"Probably the best psychedelic band that ever came from Greece. With members coming from Greece, USA and Canada and with a british female vocalist, "There was a time…" is here to blow your mind away!!! The band begun in 1970 as STONE DEEP and is responsible for the production of the rarest greek private single nowadays. Followed by many line-up changes, MORKA presented 2 more singles for Greek POLYDOR in 1972 and the next year they made their 7-track magnus-opus demo. This album contains all their 3 singles plus the 7 tracks of the unreleased back in 1973 demo. All the elements that make an album to be a treasure for the psychoheads are present. Excellent male-female vocals (all but one sung in english), lots of harmonies and melodies, tons of fuzzy guitars and bombastic drum breaks. The late 60's american psychedelic and the early 70's british acid-folk influences are obvious in this album but MORKA play their own music."

Dorian Kokas ~ vocals, guitar, piano
Mike Moraitis ~ vocals, organ
Michalis Orphanidis ~ drums, percussion
George "Tambre" Tambakopoulos ~ vocals
Antonis Bravos ~ bass
Paul Papadeas ~ vocals, guitar, harmonica, double-bass
Pamela Leake ~ vocals, effects

Truly beautiful stuff!!!
