I did finally get around to reading the article, allbeit a bit later than planned. Really very interesting. Jarre relates the instruments to well known artists such as Gabriel and The Who which helps a lot.
Listening to Neuronium as I type this. Would be nice to have a proper electronic discussion thread going (couldn't seem to find one). I would like to know more!

Oxygene is one of those rare things , a ful blown masterpeice straight out of the blocks on debut. Still one of the most profoundly brilliant peices of music ever released (imo)
I will try and read the article over the weekend when I have a bit of time.

There's an excellent new long article/interview with Jean-Michel Jarre in which he names his favorite electronic instruments. I'm reading it now. One thing I've learned already is that Jarre had a hand in some of Christophe's recordings in the 1970s. That I did not know. I'll be returning to my Christophe albums fresh, now. Wow, cool. He also gives a lot of credit to Peter Gabriel post-Genesis, and argues that Gabriel has to be credited with the rise of sampling (which is so important in hip-hop and post-hip-hop electronica). Wow. Read the article here: http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/magazine/jarre-synth
And discuss it here. Sorry, I just didn't know where else to post this link and get the word out to progarchives'ers who might be interested. :-)

I should've posted this too, from last month: Pitchfork scoured the best Youtube videos from Kraftwerk's recent performance at NY's MoMA: http://pitchfork.com/news/46199-watch-highlights-from-kraftwerks-retrospective/
