From the Paradigms Music newsletter:
It's with great pleasure that we introduce two new Paradigms editions that are officially released today. May we present RASHOMON "Ashcan Copy (Film Music Vol. 3), the latest collection of exploitation soundtrack exotica / sound library work from sonic alchemist Matt Thompson, who you may be aware of as the founding member of London's GUAPO. A truly spellbinding trip unearthing interpretations of unreleased film music from Italy, Japan and the USA amonst others, dating from the 1950s to the 1970s and sourced from archives across Europe. The eight tracks expand on the source material to include elements of noise, folk, psychedelia, heavy prog and jazz noir, while remaining faithfuil to their origins. Unavailable and largely unknown until now, this music can at last be heard! And then there's YR ILIAD; the first time we heard these Californian stargazers and their psyched out, sun-drenched drone folk we were immediately bewitched and knew we had to release a record with the trio on Paradigms. "Welcome To Concrete" is a totally cosmic opus, a deeply hypnotic, rich and organic experience and one which we are immensely proud to share with you. What the critics are saying : "Ashcan Copy (Film Music Vol. 3)" by RASHOMON is presented as a screenprinted, heavy board digi-pak edition of 300 only. Order HERE |
