The website is currently being updated and reconstructed. It should be done soon.
Meanwhile, orders can be done via e-mail. Edited by _kid_a_ - October 24 2011 at 13:10 |

added to crossover.
Note: The ordering link on the band's website appears to be faulty - I get a 404 error on that one. In case any band members should happen to read this. |

I can provide a biography (summary) for the band, if needed.
The discography is quite short: "The Abandoned" (2010) Label: big dipper (The album is distributed in norway only, but people can order it on cd and vinyl on the band`s official webpage.) Hopefully, the second album will be released in 2012. |

Wow, "The Abandoned" is brilliant. Sounds a lot like moden Porcupine
Tree, just more ballad-oriented. The tracks on MySpace are more
accessible sounding, with plenty of shoegaze influence and some AOR-like
vocal arrangements (Cosmic Crystal sounds like from a different band
for a lot of its running time).
I think the best place for this band would be in Crossover Prog, they're just a tad on the mainstream side. I'll notify the team. |

Very enjoyable music indeed! However, the band is very little known outside of their own country.
Band website http://www.radiantfrequency.com/ where there is an album preview with short samples from all tracks (also available here: http://soundcloud.com/radiant-frequency/preview) and track 3, "Euthanasia - The Coldest Winter Night (part II)", which is also available on myspace.com. Their myspace page (given in the o.p.) in fact has three full tracks, including the interestingly-titled 15 minute 5-part opener "Cosmic Crystal And The Biker-Babes From Space". Full tracklist: COSMIC CRYSTAL AND THE BIKER-BABES FROM SPACE 15:34 I: escaping... or being saved II: machine gun fire / napalm (biker-babes are starting to appear in the not-to-far distance) III: dreaming, or letting the mind wander (are they real?) IV: slowly drowning in crocodile tears (your time is up) V: hiding in the flying colours ÖRKEN 7:05 EUTHANASIA - THE COLDEST WINTER NIGHT (PART II) 3:48 HIDING IN THE FLYING COLOURS (REPRISE) 2:20 INTO THE VOID 4:06 JUST WHEN YOU FEEL IT (IT'S GONE) 6:40 THE ABANDONED 10:53 SLEEPING OUT 1:56 Band line-up: Anders Brørby - Vocal Ola Waage Vang - Guitar Kenneth Eknes - Guitar and keyboards Roar Stabell - Bass Kim Are Olausen - Drums Kim André Eknes - Percussion Turid Berg - Trombone Ramon Figueras Alsius - Trumpet The band essentially plays alternative rock, but with influences from the genres post-rock and psychedelia, as well as melodic pop. Genre-wise the band has been compared in Norway with Porcupine Tree and Motor Psycho. Review in Norwegian: http://www.groove.no/anmeldelse/15113758/the-abandoned-radiant-frequency Edit: The bass player in the band is now Håvard Myhre, Roar Stabell having left in August this year.

Norwegian progband with elements of psychedelia, pop and post-rock. Should be checked out by fans of bands like Porcupine Tree.
Released their debut album "The Abandoned" on CD/LP and download in November 2010. It wax mixed by Jacob Holm-Lupo /White Willow, Opium Cartel) Check out three of the album tracks here: The album`s title track: The album can be brought on iTunes, and can also be found on spotify.
