You're welcome, come again :- P

facts were enough

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Yes.

I see it has now been included among the studio albums as it should be.

Thanx !

Hi.
I have just finished reading the excellent Out Bloody-Rageous by Alan Bennett. This is the Soft Machine biography from 2005 based on interviews with the band and others.

Both in that bio and in Wikipedia; Alive & Well is regarded as a studio album. This album was meant as a live album with new material because the band could not afford studiotime (or could not be bothered). Four dates in Paris was set up. The recording was a fiasco (faulty equipment) so the material was re-recorded in studio anyway. That include a brand new composition entirely recorded in studio.

The material is also brand new and does not figure in any other studio albums.

Should this album be re-classified as a studio album between Rubber Riff and Land Of Cockayne ?
