I wish I could find someone like that, I'm actually going on a date soon, and she's a fan of my band , so mabye she likes prog, we're pretty close enough.

Heh -- in twenty years of marriage my wife and I have yet to find ONE
song we both like. She's into easy listening and Country and Western.

that's because neo-prog is distinctly unsexy and detached. too much
reverb on the snare and too many synthesizers. You need to give her
something sensual and deep like Sigur Ros or Talk Talk.

An attractive woman from work recently asked me if I'd lend her a Prog Rock album, so I tried to find the least offensive thing in my collection and lent her IQ's 'Seventh House'. She didn't even get through to the end of it as it was apparently very boring!!! I should have gone the whole hog and lent her Fates Warning's 'A Pleasant Shade Of Gray' (which I love, incidentally)... I think that would have totally left her cold if she didn't like the IQ!
