The IP addresses used for the reivews were completly different, but closer investigation showed that the e-mail addresses used to register were identical.

One profile shows the member as female, so it could be two people at the same address. I think one strong attack on the album from them is sufficient though, so i've removed the later review.

I'm not talking about how we all like his music. I just mean that a lot of artists have crap reviews like this, but with Phideaux, the defense is strong, widespread, and immediate. Very interesting. He's kind of like our little baby or something.

I don't think I'm going to glow about it as much as many have, either, but I know what you mean. I like the album, it's just not anything super great. He's done better, and he's done worse. These things happen.

The artist is actually pretty lucky around these parts, maybe something like an underdog that everybody roots for even if not everybody really likes his stuff. Quite impressive.

I think there's a difference between a well-written and articulate criticism and someone who is simply bashing an artist.

I have not enjoyed Phideaux's new album at all; I plan on giving it even a few more tries, but I would never write my review like that. I think it's just a matter of being respectful.

You know, I don't mind if you don't like something that I do, but is an articulate review and not pretending that you're someone you're not too much to ask?
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Hmm

Uncanny really - I'd say they are from the same person.

I think these belong in the "Reviews Reporting" thread, but thanks for the post anyway, I'm sure the admins will act appropriately soon.

Great find.

These two Phideaux tear-ups seem to have been written by the same person, if I'm not very much mistaken. Same syntax, similar vocabulary, almost identical contents. Seems really bummed out about Number Seven.  Big smile

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
