Hi, I'm the drummer in the band just getting the word out a little bit about what we're up to. Spam, perhaps...

I saw some of the comments about tribute bands in the threads, I completely accept differing opinions on the artistic value of tribute bands. I'm not exactly a gigantic fan of the Mike Portnoy tributes and things like that, and have seen some really cheezeball Floyd acts.

That said, for me personally, it is a very cool thing to get into the music, recreate it, feel the emotions of it with these guys, who are some of the best musicians I've played with. We're not doing this for money, we all deeply appreciate Floyd. We don't do much in the way of pantomime. I think we're more muso than the other tribute bands I've seen, we play the obscure tunes and do a bit of improv every show, people, for the most part, dig it, which surprises the hell out of me. Smile

I was not a big Nick Mason fan prior to joining the band. Liked his playing, but never really got deeply into it. I am a massive fan now, he is actually quite a creative genius. Maybe that's strange for people to hear, but within slow half times grooves at medium tempo, which are deceptively hard to play, he's got some great inventive ideas. Like a lot of other British drummers, he comes up with sh*t no one else would.

It kinda shocks me how much people love this music. I've been in bands, original and cover, prog and pop, where you could hear a cricket on the head of a pin dropping. People go crazy for Floyd.

At any rate, we'll be playing in Toledo at The Omni this Friday the 24th, hits and lasers and video. On May 9th, we'll be at Founder's Brewing playing some really deep cuts, getting into the music.

Here is a sample of us playing Sheep at the Magic Bag in Detroit a few weeks ago. The lasers are totally wild. We did the Dark Side of Oz during this gig as well, with lasers shooting out of the Tin Man's chest. We nailed it, which was cool consideirng how much I sweated tempo changes.

Hope to see you at the shows!
