There's always Gentle Giant if you haven't explored them yet, and Caravan, the Moody Blues, Barclay James Harvest, Porcupine Tree, Nektar, PFM, IQ.....A few of these should be up your alley. If you've heard all of these I can recommend some deeper ones...

Nice call. Skylarking is a good one (and it was produced by Todd Rundgren, who has Beatles in his veins, too...LOL). Also, Oranges & Lemons, which has some very Beatle-esque stuff on it as well.

Transatlantic have a lot of passages that strongly remind me of The Beatles. Certainly get your hands on some of that.

There a lot of prog bands influenced by the Beatles. Supertramp, Styx, Radiohead takes a lot from the White Album, Phil Collins is very influenced by Ringo Starr drumming. Geddy Lee is influenced by Paul McCartney melodic bass playing. ELO took its sound from songs like Strawberry Fields Forever and I Am the Walrus. Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Us and Them sounds like the Sun King. The Moody Blues another band. King Crimson has song that sounds like I Want You. They might be the biggest influence on early prog music on a whole.

I think that Fight Club was right on with Neal Morse, Spock's Beard, and Transatlantic.
I would also suggest King's X, or more so guitarist Ty Tabor and his solo and side projects Platypus, Jughead, and The Jelly Jam.

I'm thinking any of Neal Morse's material would work. Try some Spock's Beard or Transatlantic. The ladder is highly recommended! Extremely catchy and easy to get into, but definitely very proggy.
I don't know what you've heard, but other pretty catchy artists that come to mind include: Yes, Marillion, and Porcupine Tree.

Hey guys, Thanks to you all I have a nice big Christmas list of dark, heavy rhythmically complex CD's to ask for. This is going to be a great new year for discovering new music.
Now.. how about really super melodic prog stuff? Not just melodic in the usual prog sense but REALLY catchy, hooky great melodys without compromising the prog complexity that we know and love so well. I'd love to hear of anything you know of.
Supertramps "Crime of the Century" comes to mind as well as Ambrosia's "Somewhere I've Never Traveled".
